Background / History

Nuwa is an innate being of the Primordial Era who attained sainthood by creating the Human Race 79. Seeking inspiration for her cultivation, she traveled the Primordial lands for a thousand years with her brother, Fuxi 78. Upon reaching the banks of a great river, she was inspired to create a new race that combined the strengths of the Witch and Demon clans 78. After initial failures, she successfully created the first humans using spiritual yellow mud and her own blood, with Fuxi providing the necessary true spirit energy 78 79.

Following her ascension to sainthood, she became a Heavenly Dao Saint, gaining immense power but becoming bound by the Heavenly Dao's restrictions, which forbade her from directly interfering in the calamities of the Primordial Era 79 104. She later sent Fuxi’s weak true spirit into the Six Paths of Reincarnation for rebirth 116. During the Investiture of the Gods era, she sought to influence the fate of the Great Shang dynasty by sending three demons to bewitch the Human Emperor, Di Xin, after he insulted her with a poem 169.

As a Saint, she adheres to the philosophy that "Saints treat all things as straw dogs," often displaying a cold, detached, and heartless demeanor toward the lives of those she created 116.
