His gaze landed on Shimura Danzō's arm. That bastard Danzō had actually been experimenting with the First Hokage's cells—something even he hadn't known about.

Yet, before he could say anything.

"Lord Hokage, you heard it, didn't you? This Fugaku has already confessed. All of this was Shimura Danzō's scheme! Now, let's talk about Shimura Danzō's affairs, Lord Hokage. Regarding Danzō's desecration of the First Hokage's remains, as well as his murder of my clan members and theft of their eyes—were you aware of this?"

Uchiha Kazuto raised the arm in his hand and asked seriously.

"I was not aware. I never imagined that Danzō would do so many things behind my back."

Hiruzen Sarutobi shook his head and set down his pipe. In truth, he had known a little. Some things he had even tacitly approved. If he had truly wanted to stop Danzō, how could he have failed? But he could not admit it.

Whether Uchiha Kazuto's words were true or false, Shimura Danzō was dead and could not come back to defend himself—especially with that arm of his, covered in Sharingan.

In the village, killing comrades was a grave taboo!

"Uchiha Kazuto, don't change the subject. Uchiha Fugaku confessed, but who knows if what he said is true or false? What proof do you have that Danzō and Uchiha Fugaku were connected? Danzō is already dead!"

That old woman stepped forward again and spoke.

Then, before Uchiha Kazuto could respond.

"Since Uchiha Fugaku has been captured, why not have the Yamanaka Clan examine his memories? Wouldn't that settle it?"

An old man stepped forward and suggested.

"Silence! Uchiha Fugaku may have become a criminal of my clan, but he was once our clan head and knows our clan's secrets. I will not allow outsiders to casually pry into his memories. Though I deeply respect Lord Hokage, I am now the head of the Uchiha Clan and must take responsibility for my people. I will never let outsiders peek at our clan's secrets. You want proof? Fine!"

Uchiha Kazuto shook his head and refused with righteous indignation. Then, he waved his hand. The next moment, an Uchiha clansman approached and produced several photographs.

"This is the proof. Shimura Danzō, in order to move against Lord Hokage, targeted my clan's genius ninja, Uchiha Shisui, trying to take his eyes—those eyes with the Kotoamatsukami Dojutsu—to control Lord Hokage."

Uchiha Kazuto handed the photos to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Unfortunately, Lord Hokage, Shisui's eyes were destroyed during my battle with Shimura Danzō."

Were they really destroyed?

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at the photos in his hands. He knew about Uchiha Shisui's eyes—a terrifying Dojutsu. It was only natural that Danzō would covet them.

His suspicions ran too deep.

And this was exactly the kind of thing Danzō would do. Danzō had always had his eyes on the Hokage's seat.

But were those eyes truly destroyed?

Hiruzen Sarutobi couldn't be sure. He looked at Uchiha Kazuto with a complicated expression, at his honest, earnest face, then at Uchiha Fugaku, pale-faced, sorrowful, and pained.

Though he said nothing, his heart was gradually leaning toward believing Uchiha Kazuto. Perhaps those eyes really had been destroyed. With Danzō's nature, if he couldn't have something, he would rather destroy it than let anyone else obtain it.

If Shimura Danzō had been even slightly decent in his daily life, Uchiha Kazuto's words now would never have been believable.

But Danzō had indeed coveted the Hokage's position. He had even attempted to assassinate Hiruzen Sarutobi. Taking Uchiha Shisui's eyes to cast Kotoamatsukami on Hiruzen was entirely plausible—because that was exactly the kind of person Shimura Danzō was!

"Sigh, Kazuto... you've worked hard!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi let out a sigh. Though something felt off in his heart, he was already inclined to believe Uchiha Kazuto. It couldn't all be fake, could it? All fabricated by this Uchiha Kazuto to frame Uchiha Fugaku and kick him off the clan head's seat?

How could that be possible!

The two advisors looked at the photos and fell silent. Though they had been arguing earlier, it was merely reflexive opposition. In truth, they too were inclined to believe this was Danzō's scheme—because they all knew what Danzō had become.

Then, Hiruzen Sarutobi turned to Uchiha Fugaku. By now, Fugaku was little different from a rogue ninja. However, since he had once been the Uchiha Clan head, and after Uchiha Kazuto's persuasion, it was decided that Fugaku would be imprisoned within the Uchiha Clan.

Originally, the sentence was to be execution, but Uchiha Kazuto, considering the existence of that bastard Uchiha Itachi and the fact that Fugaku had been relatively cooperative, argued that Fugaku had voluntarily stepped down as clan head and Military Police Force captain, thus sparing his life.

In truth, Uchiha Fugaku's real problem was minimal. His only sin was fathering that bastard son, Uchiha Itachi, which led to the destruction of himself and his entire clan.

If he had known the future fate of himself and his clan, would Uchiha Fugaku regret not having splattered Uchiha Itachi against the wall?

"Lord Hokage, now let's discuss this arm of Shimura Danzō. Danzō dared to steal my clan's Sharingan. Who knows how many other atrocities and inhuman acts he committed in secret? Please, Lord Hokage, hand Danzō's affairs over to our Military Police Force. We will thoroughly eradicate this darkness from Konoha!"

Uchiha Kazuto raised Danzō's severed arm and spoke with grave seriousness.

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Uchiha Kazuto, paused for a moment, and finally nodded.

"Very well. Let the Anbu and the Military Police Force act together."

Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded.

Soon after, Uchiha Kazuto led the Uchiha away, heading straight for Root.

In the Hokage's office, a long silence fell.

The events of today were too overwhelming. Hiruzen Sarutobi needed time to digest them.

"Sarutobi, could this be a scheme of the Uchiha Clan?"

Utatane Koharu looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi with concern and asked.

"No. In Uchiha Kazuto, I see the Will of Fire and a sincere heart. This was entirely Danzō and Uchiha Fugaku's conspiracy."

Hiruzen Sarutobi took a drag from his pipe and shook his head.

Soon after, all of Uchiha Kazuto's information appeared in Hiruzen Sarutobi's hands.
