Of course, that wasn't necessarily true. Maybe by then, the Wood Release cells would be gone.
Besides, not everyone could accept a machine made of flesh and blood.
Uchiha Kazuto stepped forward, patted the machine, examined it for a while, then turned to the Research Director.
"Give me an explanation."
"Yes, Lord Hokage!"
The Research Director nodded and began his explanation.
At present, the flesh-and-blood machine was still incomplete, with many areas needing improvement. For instance, its Ninjutsu storage capacity was poor. At this stage, it could store only one technique; storing more than two would cause a mix-up, making them impossible to release. The machine also needed frequent changes of nutrient solution. The mass of flesh inside the glass jar hadn't developed complete organs. It was simply living tissue made up of blood vessels, nerves, and flesh.
It had only some basic reflexes and was extremely fragile, with no ability to survive on its own. If the nutrient solution became contaminated or wasn't changed in time, the flesh inside would become infected, grow moldy, rot, or starve to death.
On top of that, the machine wasn't very good at releasing Ninjutsu. Its brain was underdeveloped and could generate very little spiritual energy, so it couldn't synthesize much Chakra. In truth, Hashirama's cells were incredibly remarkable. They were highly active and could even extract a special kind of Wood Release Chakra on their own.
If left to grow freely, the cells would even develop Hashirama Senju's face—as if they wanted to become Hashirama Senju again. It was bizarre.
However, the Chakra extracted this way was extremely difficult to use. It was essentially Hashirama Senju's Chakra. Simply attaching a brain to it and having that brain control the Chakra amounted to using an external spiritual force to control Hashirama Senju's Chakra,
