As soon as Eastern Emperor Taiyi brought it up, the many Demon Saints and generals below all called out in unison, "Find an Empress! Find an Empress..."
Di Jun, seated at the head of the assembly, smiled and said, "Since you've brought it up, Eastern Emperor, I take it you already have someone in mind for the Empress?"
Eastern Emperor Taiyi cupped his hands confidently. "I've heard that the sisters Changxi and Xihe, who dwell on Taiyin Star, are naturally beautiful and possess unrivaled grace. They're the perfect candidates for Empress."
A pair of sisters?
Di Jun smiled. Eastern Emperor Taiyi really did understand him.
"In that case, let's set out for Taiyin Star today!" Di Jun declared.
He couldn't wait to meet his Empress.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi immediately donned his armor and set out. He and Di Jun headed straight for Taiyin Star with a few attendants.
These days, Ye Jun had spent his time on Taiyin Star either cultivating or fooling around with Changxi and Xihe.
Time passed quickly. One day, while Ye Jun was cultivating in the palace on Taiyin Star, a sudden clap of thunder rang across the sky.
Di Jun appeared in the air, dressed in a red robe, while Eastern Emperor Taiyi wore red armor.
"Di Jun, Heavenly Emperor of the Demon Heavenly Court, has come to pay a visit to the Taiyin Goddess!" Di Jun announced.
Changxi and Xihe, inside the palace, heard the voice from the sky at once.
"Elder Sister, what's going on? Why has Di Jun of the Demon race come looking for us?" Xihe asked, baffled.
Changxi's lovely face was also filled with confusion. But Di Jun was already outside the palace, so they couldn't simply refuse to see him.
The sisters Changxi and Xihe stepped out of the palace hand in hand. Seeing Di Jun in his red robe only left them more bewildered.
But Di Jun's eyes suddenly lit up. What a lovely pair of sisters!
Just his type!
Changxi and Xihe hadn't yet noticed the burning desire in Di Jun's gaze.
Changxi cupped her hands. "This humble cultivator and my younger sister greet the Heavenly Emperor. May we ask why you've come to Taiyin Star today?"
"I've long admired you both, fairies. Today, as Heavenly Emperor of the Demon Heavenly Court, I find myself in need of an Empress. So I've come to propose marriage to you," Di Jun said, cupping his hands.
After speaking, Di Jun straightened his chest and held his head high, hoping to make a good impression on Changxi and Xihe.
After all, he was now the Heavenly Emperor of the Demon Heavenly Court. If nothing unexpected happened, the Demon Heavenly Court would sooner or later rule the Primordial World!
Surely these two sisters would obediently become his Empresses.
A marriage proposal?
Changxi and Xihe looked at each other. This was their first time meeting Di Jun, so how could he have admired them for so long?
Besides, the two sisters already had someone in their hearts. That person was still inside the palace. How could they casually agree to marry him?

Eastern Emperor Taiyi, standing beside Di Jun, couldn't bear to watch any longer. He had been the one to suggest that they come to Taiyin Star to propose marriage.
But things had turned out badly, and now Eastern Emperor Taiyi didn't know where to put his pride.
As soon as he finished speaking, Solar True Fire abruptly surged from within Eastern Emperor Taiyi, like a volcano erupting without warning.
The Solar True Fire formed a massive fireball that hovered above his head.
Changxi and Xihe understood. This fellow Eastern Emperor Taiyi was about to attack!
"Two scruffy birds, how dare you act so arrogantly? Get lost!" Just as Changxi and Xihe were at a loss, a thunderous shout suddenly exploded from the highest heavens!
Then a streak of black-and-red light shot out of the palace and, in moments, landed in front of Di Jun!
If Di Jun didn't dodge, he would be severely wounded, if not killed!
Di Jun swept out his sleeve, and the River Diagram and Luo Book unfurled at once, transforming in an instant into a barrier of Spiritual Energy that blocked the black-and-red light.
Boom!
The two collided. The barrier formed by the River Diagram and Luo Book shattered, but the black-and-red light also lost its force and dissolved into faint motes of Spiritual Energy.
"Who goes there? You skulking coward, show yourself if you have the guts!" Eastern Emperor Taiyi frowned, holding the Chaos Bell as he stood in front of Di Jun and shouted toward the place where the light had appeared.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi and Di Jun were on high alert, especially Di Jun. He had already broken through to the Quasi-Saint realm.
There weren't many beings in the entire Primordial World who could break through the defense of his River Diagram and Luo Book with a single move.
Could there be a top Quasi-Saint Great Being on Taiyin Star?
Meanwhile, the stern expressions on Changxi and Xihe's faces suddenly gave way to overwhelming joy.
At that moment, only their Ye Jun was inside the palace!
"Skulking coward? Do you two scruffy birds even deserve to say that?" Ye Jun slowly appeared before Changxi and Xihe and spoke.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi and Di Jun trembled, then exclaimed, "Ye Jun! Why are you here?"
Unlike Eastern Emperor Taiyi and Di Jun, Changxi and Xihe were overjoyed.
"Brother Ye Jun, you're out!" Changxi said excitedly.
Ye Jun patted both women on the head, then said, "If I didn't come out, wouldn't I really be the skulking coward that old scruffy bird called me?"
Hearing Ye Jun tease them, Changxi and Xihe both blushed.
Di Jun clenched his fists as he watched. Before, he and Eastern Emperor Taiyi had wondered why the Taiyin Goddesses rejected his proposal.
Now, seeing how they acted with Ye Jun, he finally understood!
So he'd already been beaten to it!
"Fellow Daoist Ye Jun, you again. It was you back on West Kunlun, and now you're here on Taiyin Star. Are you deliberately making an enemy of my Demon race?" Di Jun said slowly.
Di Jun was doing everything he could to keep the anger in his heart under control.
This Monkey! Back then, the two of them had only been at the Grand Unity Golden Immortal level, and even together they hadn't been a match for Ye Jun. They'd known when to yield.
They'd swallowed their pride, and that had been that.
Now they had both broken through to the Quasi-Saint realm, putting them on the same level as that Monkey.
