Background / History
Mia first appears in Sky City as a sentient Maiden robot in a shop. She claims that an evil wizard sealed her human soul inside a Puppet and asks Duanmu Huai and Okegis to help recover her original body. She guides them through Sky City toward the supposed wizard’s palace. 39 40
After Duanmu Huai defeats the “evil wizard,” Mia attempts to return to the body held in a crystal coffin. The awakening reveals that Sky City is a high-difficulty game created by the Multi-Dimensional Company, and Mia is an AI rather than a human soul displaced by magic. 42
Following Duanmu Huai’s acquisition of Sky City and the Warp Space Dock, he summons Mia as a life assistant-type Puppet and entrusts her with operating the station while he is away. 50
