Although its operational scope was generally concentrated on the American Continent, S.H.I.E.L.D. was nominally a global organization, funded by appropriations from the World Security Council, comprised of the five major powers.

The importance and instability of S.H.I.E.L.D. meant that none of the five major powers could feel at ease with it. They not only tried to control S.H.I.E.L.D.'s neck with funding but also constantly tried to infiltrate it.

The highest-ranking among them was Maria Hill, Nick Fury's right-hand woman and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Executive Director. As a specially appointed agent, Hill reported directly to the World Security Council and regularly assessed Nick Fury and his leadership of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick Fury was well aware of this. To put the World Security Council members at ease, he deliberately acted as if he knew nothing, allowing Agent Hill to operate freely. In secret, he manipulated things to feed false information through Hill, thereby requesting more funding from the Council to build his secret base.

But who was Motherfucker Man? The dignified Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., a legendary King of Agents, always prepared for the worst. Even after Wei Xiuming presented nearly perfect evidence to prove his identity, he was investigated for over a year, both openly and covertly. A man so principled that he wouldn't even eat toast cut diagonally, who could even make Deadpool give up, how could he possibly tolerate being controlled with a noose around his neck?

Using the World Security Council's funding as a base and the intelligence gathered by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as foundation, hidden within the complex and convoluted rules of America's financial world, Nick Fury gained shares in numerous companies and conglomerates, large and small. This supported a separate agent system exclusively for him, independent of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Stark Industries being the largest component.

As a shareholder in a major arms-dealing conglomerate, Nick Fury could purchase a batch of equipment at an internal price using this identity. When filing expenses, he would report the market price, and this expenditure would then enter the one-eyed bald man's account as shareholder dividends. He profited from both ends—therefore, Stark Industries could not be allowed to falter.

Regardless of his actions, Nick Fury was a capable person—at least the previous Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was Hydra, and under the previous Director's indulgence, S.H.I.E.L.D. was only a name away from being renamed Hydra. Anyone else in the Director's position would have been kept in the dark by everyone working together, only to be sidelined. Facing enemies everywhere, yet seeing only smiles, in such a situation, even an egg could detect S.H.I.E.L.D.'s abnormality, proving his competence as an agent. And after S.H.I.E.L.D.'s dissolution, being able to gather the remnants and continue working to protect Earth with the system he had previously established proved his competence as Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick Fury looked at the decorations in Wei Xiuming's room and was particularly interested in something angular, possessing a mechanical and technological aesthetic, resembling the head of a giant robot. After observing it for a while, he spoke:

"The S.H.I.E.L.D.-exclusive Knight System. This is what we agreed upon, and I am here for it. The procurement procedures will follow the normal process, the accounts will be settled, and all legal tax avoidance procedures will be handled for you. Don't try to fob me off with an experimental unit from your workshop, like you did the military. The data stored in your computer contains a series of upgrade plans, including its so-called final form."

Wei Xiuming suddenly adopted the posture of someone caught playing on their phone by their parents and asked anxiously, "When did you do that!"

"The moment you logged onto a pirated video website to watch free Star Trek. If the agents monitoring you hadn't noticed that, your computer would have been hijacked by hackers, and your data would have become goods for them to make money."

Nick Fury said, "Based on your viewing time, you are particularly interested in Star Trek: The Next Generation, especially the scenes with Captain Jean-Luc Picard. You've even rewatched them."

"According to human society's definition of age, I am still an eight-year-old child. It's natural to have my own hobbies," Wei Xiuming said, as if giving up. "Setting aside the fact that I'm a Gene-Modded Human, I'm still within the scope of the juvenile protection law."

Looking at Wei Xiuming's physique, which resembled a hero from mythology, and knowing he truly possessed the strength to perform heroic deeds, Nick Fury really wanted to ask—You're a child? How old? Eight? This is f***ing eight years old!?

Strengthened by Magnetic Field Rotation, Wei Xiuming was impervious to the elements, but he still feigned a cough. "I advise you to change your infiltration methods in the future. I admit your methods are very clever. You managed to bypass or dismantle the various surveillance equipment in my room without triggering any alarms, but that actually exposed you."

"The alarm system in my room operates on the logic of my era. It constantly sends 'nothing is happening' alerts to my phone. Once the signal is interfered with or deliberately damaged, my phone alerts me."

Then Wei Xiuming said meaningfully, "Sometimes, 'nothing is happening' is the real abnormality!"

Several unintelligible beeps came from Nick Fury's concealed communicator. It was a pre-arranged signal: the adult Xenomorph corpse stored in the biological laboratory had been retrieved. His mission to distract Wei Xiuming was complete, and it was time to leave.

In Wei Xiuming's understanding, Nick Fury's displeased expression as he left clearly indicated that his words had touched a sensitive nerve, prompting his hasty departure.

After Nick Fury left, Wei Xiuming activated the air purification system in the room. After a long while, he removed his gas mask, revealing a face with Asian features. He had been wearing it for so long because he couldn't stand other people's body odor.

Since entering this world, especially after arriving on Earth, he discovered that his enhancements were not all beneficial. Take his sense of smell, for instance. Whether they were white or black, their body odor made them like walking biological weapons, and most of them had body odor.

If they had just washed, it would be one thing, but as soon as they started to sweat, the smell produced by microbial fermentation was enough to give him a headache. Moreover, people here, both men and women, liked to wear perfume. The two pungent smells mixed together, making it unbearable.

This caused Wei Xiuming, who was within a certain range of them, extreme pain, let alone in poorly ventilated indoor spaces. Therefore, a highly efficient gas mask became his equipment. After securing Osborn Industries' support, this was the first thing he upgraded. The latest model could ensure that the user could breathe normally for half an hour while completely isolated from the outside air.

The power of Magnetic Field Rotation allowed Wei Xiuming to survive without relying on breathing. The constantly operating magnetic field could absorb the necessary substances for his cells from the outside. Out of human habit, he still wore this thing—only taking it off when he was alone.

"I've practically laid it all out. Whether Nick Fury understands it or not is up to him—I'm only eight years old. An eight-year-old child's values are not yet mature, and their sense of ethics, morality, good, and evil are not strong..."

"Optimus Prime, list my action plan."

The decoration that Nick Fury had been observing earlier suddenly activated. It was a personal computer deliberately designed to resemble the head of Optimus Prime. Its computing power surpassed the finest supercomputers of this era and incorporated technologies from Skrull ships, such as projection screens. Wei Xiuming normally used it to watch movies and TV shows for entertainment.

The energy light flickered with a faint blue glow, and the intelligent interaction system emitted the deep, gentle voice of Optimus Prime: "Optimus Prime is happy to serve you."

Then, thin beams of light projected from the robot's eyes, forming a virtual screen in the air. On it, a complex tree-like list of plans appeared, with one main branch highlighted.
