"Can this really be achieved by human technology?" Nick Fury found it hard to believe how terrifying it would be if human society were truly controlled by the so-called Akashic Records.

Would humanity have to bear responsibility for actions they had not yet committed?

Before leaving, the Coulson from a parallel world had left a file for Nick Fury detailing major events he had participated in or was aware of. Due to the differences between worlds, it only had a certain degree of reference value. Nevertheless, Nick Fury had physically destroyed all the paper documents and related data, leaving only what he had memorized.

The "Akashic Records" mentioned by Wei Xiuming were strikingly similar to Hydra's "Project Insight." Since most of S.H.I.E.L.D. was comprised of Hydra members, and even his most trusted former superior, Pierce, was one of them, Nick Fury had previously understood the content of Project Insight. However, due to deliberate misdirection, he had only believed it to be a plan for remotely eliminating threats to all of humanity.

Even with Coulson's intelligence, Nick Fury had merely considered it a plan by Hydra to eliminate dissidents. But Wei Xiuming's exaggerated version of the Akashic Records had startled Nick Fury, instantly raising his assessment of Project Insight's threat level by an order of magnitude.

Wei Xiuming said, "Don't underestimate humanity. They can even achieve time travel, and the observation and exploration of parallel universes. The Akashic Protocol is a trivial achievement in comparison."

Considering that cultural differences might lead to Nick Fury's misunderstanding of certain terms, Wei Xiuming rephrased his words. "In that ancient country across the ocean, fifteen hundred years ago, a human sorcerer bet with a God who held the authority over rain. The sorcerer calculated the location of the next rainfall, its start and end times, and the amount of rainfall."

"The God who held the authority over rain thought he had won for sure. However, upon returning to his palace, he received a command from the personified God-King of the universal rules. The location, time, and amount of rain he was required to bring were exactly as the sorcerer had calculated."

"Weather forecasting predicts the future by determining the conservation principles of atmospheric mass, energy, and momentum, using mathematical equations. Any minute change in factors will cause the accuracy to decay exponentially with time... This is the so-called butterfly effect."

"If there were an ultra-high-speed parallel computing system that could simulate air changes at a molecular level at high speeds, and predict the weather by calculating the movement of all air particles on Earth, then the outcome of the bet with the Rain God would be certain."

"If even unpredictable weather can be accurately predicted, let alone humans?"

Sensing Nick Fury's unusual reaction, Wei Xiuming asked, "Do you know anything about things similar to the Akashic Records? If you do, please don't hide it from me. In my era, S.H.I.E.L.D. suffered a major blow, and some information was lost or deliberately altered. If you discover any traces of it, you must tell me."

While posing his question, Wei Xiuming also reinforced his persona, lest he forget his identity as a "person from the future."

Nick Fury did not reveal that he already knew about Project Insight. Instead, he turned and asked, "If you were given time to develop it now, how long would you need for a simplified version of the Akashic Records? Don't worry about the supercomputer; all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s resources are at your disposal."

Wei Xiuming spread his hands and said, "Actually, it won't take long. The simplified version of the Akashic Records is already a mature technology in my era. I just need to copy it. As for the supercomputer needed to run the Akashic Records program, I've already built it. To prevent a scenario like the Terminator movie, where a Terminator sent back in time leads to the birth of Skynet, the hardware required to run the Akashic Records program is completely incompatible with current electronic devices. Only my machine can use it."

"However..." Wei Xiuming changed the subject. "It seems the intelligence from my era was mistaken. The infectivity of Amazon Cells is not due to their mutation, but is related to the vampires themselves. Realizing he had "accidentally" revealed something significant, Wei Xiuming quickly shut his mouth and changed the topic. "The eradication of vampires cannot be solely undertaken by S.H.I.E.L.D. Get the five major powers to take the lead. After all, we are a community with a shared future for mankind. Propaganda to the masses also needs to be done well. Extensively promote the vampire threat theory to preemptively silence those 'saints' like animal rights organizations."

"As for the Fang Vampires transformed by injecting AMAZON cells, I will handle them. The upgrades to the KIVA system and the development of accompanying weapons are complete. With Brooks' physique, the injuries he sustained have likely already healed. Having transformed once, he is capable of handling the upgraded system. And as someone born to be a warrior, it is time for me to play my part."

Learning that America was the biggest destabilizing factor on Earth made Nick Fury's head hurt even more. Dealing with the World Security Council was one of the things he disliked the most. Spending an entire afternoon dealing with those politicians was more exhausting than personally leading a team to eliminate unstable elements.

It would have been manageable if the former director, Pierce, had been there to coordinate, but knowing his true identity, Nick Fury felt it was better for him to handle it himself.

"How should we handle this?" Putting aside the more troublesome issue, Nick Fury asked Wei Xiuming about the method of dealing with Pearl.

The live Fang Vampire captured earlier had been completely destroyed due to its extreme aggression. Pearl, who appeared less threatening, was an excellent sample. Whether for slicing and studying or other purposes, she was the best candidate.
