Background

Linlin was abandoned on Elbaf’s coast as a child and believed her parents had discarded her. Mousse later tells her that they had sent her to Elbaf to protect her from execution, prompting an unusually vulnerable reaction: Linlin cries and struggles to reconcile the revelation with her long-held resentment. 3 4

By the beginning of the story, she is the ruler of Whole Cake Island and captain of the BIG·MOM Pirates. Although politically experienced and capable of recognizing threats such as Stussy’s suspicious background, she remains emotionally childlike, impulsive, and intensely preoccupied with food. 2 41
