Background / History

Xian Wu attended Sacred Orchid Academy under instructor Tie Kuang. After Tie Kuang intervened against bullying, he made Xian Wu class representative; the appointment earned him both admiration and resentment among his classmates 17. He was initially shy around Hu Yan Lan Ruo and often concealed his face, but she became attracted to him after seeing his “true form” 23 57.

In the academy library, Xian Wu recognized that Nie Li was a reborn future version of himself. He forced the issue by kowtowing and asking to become Nie Li’s godson; Nie Li reluctantly accepted. Xian Wu then revealed the Chaos Spirit Devouring Art by draining Lu Piao’s Soul Force 42.

His rapid cultivation, wealth, and connections enabled him to establish the Hao Xie Family. He sought a title and territory from the City Lord’s Mansion, presenting himself as Ye Shuo’s godson and later pursuing adoption by City Lord Ye Zong 95 100. He became a central political figure in the City of Brilliance, was regarded as its future City Lord, and developed a private force through recruitment, weapon production, and Demonic Beast breeding 196 226 235.

After Ye Shuo’s death, Xian Wu swore vengeance against the Dark Guild. His lack of practical combat experience was exposed in his clash with Black Fox, but he continued hunting Legendary Demonic Beasts, killed the Howling Moon Wolf King, and later reached Legendary grade 132 201 260.

Xian Wu later aided the recovery and expansion of human power across the Sacred Spirit Continent. After reaching Spirit God level, he collected Divine Sparks and helped end the Demon Race’s rule; the resulting Wushen Era marked the end of the Dark Era 322 323. He is quick-witted in negotiations, using his relationship with Nie Li and knowledge of the Alchemist Guild to force Hu Yan Xiong into concessions 57.

He can be ruthless toward enemies and people who insult or threaten him, particularly after Ye Shuo’s death. However, he also shows generosity toward vulnerable people: he fed starving Tian Yun tribespeople, aided Wu Yun and his father, and gave Xiao Xue Spirit Stones for cultivation and housing 298 360 365.

Despite his confidence, he recognizes his own shortcomings. During the battle with Black Fox, he realized that his overwhelming power did not compensate for his lack of real combat experience 132.
