Background

Nie Li first appears as Lu Piao's orange-haired roommate at Sacred Orchid Academy. Initially shy around Xian Wu, he soon proves talkative, curious, and eager to befriend him despite Xian Wu's irritation at his constant questions 3.

During class, Nie Li awakens with the memories of his future life and realizes that he has been reborn in his younger body. The rebirth gives him the experience of a former peerless expert and a chance to alter past failures, while his affection for Ye Ziyun remains unchanged 31 33.

He begins gathering classmates around himself by testing their Soul Seas and assigning cultivation arts suited to their attributes and forms.
