The fake Batman, Bai Lang, glared darkly at the Batman before him: Bruce Wayne.
"The law? You want to leave them alive and keep locking them up in Arkham Asylum?"
"Do you have any idea how many people in Gotham are victimized by these criminals every year?!"
"That's mainly a gang problem," Batman Bruce Wayne argued.

"Ha! Bruce Wayne, you ignorant son of a bitch!" he sneered.
"Do you know how many people join gangs every year because they can't survive otherwise?!"

Batman Bruce Wayne fell silent.

Compared with them, the ones who really needed his concern were the homeless children on the streets and those who were genuinely struggling to get by.
"Ha!" The fake Batman, Bai Lang, sneered.
"You son of a bitch may not know, but I do! Five thousand six hundred and eighty-nine people. More than five thousand!"
"So many people were forced to join gangs and commit crimes just to survive, to make a living!"
"Give them enough weapons, and they could take over a city of a hundred thousand!"
"But here in Gotham, every year, so many people are driven to join gangs because of these goddamn criminals!"
"And some gangs are no different from goddamn refugee camps!"
He thought of the first few Black men in the Red Rose
