Background and History
Luo Hou was a Demon sealed in the Netherworld Land by the Heavenly Dao. Yellow Springs was charged with preventing his emergence and suppressing him beneath the Sea of Blood. When Luo Hou forced his way toward the Nine Nether Yellow Springs, the two fought over access to the Sea of Blood 54 55.
Although his true body remained trapped in the Netherworld Land, Luo Hou sent a remnant body into the Primordial World and recondensed it as a nine-headed black lion. He used soul banners to gather and refine Primordial Spirits, hoping to recover his power and eventually forge Pangu’s true body. On Mount Buzhou, the lion manifestation absorbed a Fire Kirin’s power and broke the seal on one of its heads, but an encounter with a powerful lightning-wielding being left it badly injured 62 63 64.
Luo Hou later turned to killing intent as a path of cultivation. His killing intent clone slaughtered across the Great Desolation until the Dragon Ancestor confronted and gravely wounded it. The clone escaped through space and sought Soul Power from the Nine-Headed Lion to survive 72 73 74.
He refined the Four Spirits into the foundation of the Immortal Slaying Formation Diagram, bringing forth the Immortal Slaying Four Swords. After the formation devastated the Primordial World, Hongjun entered it to confront him. Luo Hou later became the Heavenly Dao of the Demon Realm and was recognized as its Demon Ancestor 95 103 104 105 109.
Appearance
Luo Hou takes several forms, including a humanoid bat-like Demon, a youth dressed in black, and a nine-headed black lion 54 61 62 63.
- Humanoid demon form: Bat wings, scales, sharp black claws, and bone spurs 54 61.
- Enlarged form: Grows to ten thousand feet tall by drawing in the Netherworld Land’s Death Qi 55.
- Lion manifestation: A nine-headed black lion formed from his remnant body 62.
Personality
Luo Hou seeks to defy Heaven and Earth rather than accept the limits placed on him. Pangu’s will strengthens his resolve to control his own destiny, while defeat by the Dragon Ancestor and another powerful opponent forces him to recognize how vulnerable even his strongest plans can be 63 64 73 102.
He is ruthless in pursuing power: he devours Primordial Spirits, slaughters beings to cultivate killing intent, and sacrifices the Four Spirits to complete his formation. His ambition extends to changing the energy of Heaven and Earth through slaughter 62 72 95 103.
