Jiang Mian used the mist to conceal her movements and headed into the sea to gather Calamity cores while the battle distracted the authorities. Meanwhile, Yan Yan reported the clash to his teacher, [Oblivion River], who ordered him to wait and then awakened [Formless].

• Jiang Mian surveyed the distant battle, used her glasses to keep her bearings, and dove toward the densest concentration of Calamities to collect cores.
• Yan Yan received a field report confirming that [World-Overturning Torrent] and [Profound Yellow Overturn] had begun fighting.
• Yan Yan crossed a black river and a red flower field to deliver the report to his teacher, [Oblivion River].
• [Oblivion River] told Yan Yan not to make any rash moves because the time was not right to pursue the human pinnacles.

Oblivion River revived Formless and agreed to help it recover in exchange for its soul-fusion trait, then realized Formless’s remains might be with Doom. Meanwhile, Jiang Mian returned with valuable spoils and dominated Torrent, causing her Tide trait to upgrade.

• Oblivion River explained that it had rescued Formless’s remnant soul and suppressed Eternal Day’s lingering power with a death curse.
• Formless agreed to cooperate with Oblivion River and explained that it could regrow from even a tiny piece of its original flesh.
• Oblivion River realized that Jiang Mian had taken Formless’s remains and considered what it could offer Doom to get them back.
• Jiang Mian checked her spoils outside Base City No. 7 and planned to use them to advance and repay Ye Chenyang.

Jiang Mian discovered that her upgraded Abyssal Sea Eye could nearly stop everything around her for three seconds, while World-Overturning Torrent began transforming into a creature able to control water and lightning. After Jiang Mian recalled Xuanhuang from the outer sea defense, Yang Xin and Yu Xi realized the Calamities had withdrawn into the Mist.

After Xuanhuang left to complete its transformation at its lair, Torrent offered to provide powerful clones for her return to shore, and Jiang Mian headed to a nearby island to test her new skill.

• Ye Chenyang used a shock wave and [Condense Light] to expose and shoot at one attacker, but the other escaped through a door into [Other Shore].
