Before becoming a Titled Douluo, Yun Ming fused six soul bones into his body. Shrek Academy's inherited soul bones and ancient soul spirits contributed to his exceptionally rapid rise; he was already a Titled Douluo in his twenties. 73 126

As Sea God Pavilion Master, he led Shrek's senior officials during Di Tian's declaration against humanity. He recognized that the missing soul beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest had been found and interpreted their actions as retaliation. 46

Personality

Yun Ming is fiercely protective of Shrek and of Ya Li. At the isolated island, he immediately shielded Han Tianyi and Leng Yaozhu, then chose to confront Di Tian, the Nether Emperor, and the Ghost Emperor rather than abandon either his wife or Shrek Academy. 117 118

His protectiveness extends to allies in immediate danger. He sacrificed part of his battle armor to save Cai Yue'er from a lethal attack, even while fighting two peak Evil Soul Masters. 121

Isolated Island Crisis

Yun Ming arrives after Han Tianyi and Leng Yaozhu are nearly defeated, blocks the Evil Soul Masters' attacks, and takes their place on the front line. Di Tian then forces him to choose between protecting Ya Li and returning to defend Shrek Academy. Yun Ming rejects the choice and attempts to protect both. 117 118

He transforms his martial soul into a quasi-divine weapon, establishes the Forbidden Flight Domain, and battles Di Tian, the Nether Emperor, and the Ghost Emperor simultaneously. Qian Gu Dongfeng's interference prevents Yun Ming's Shooting Down the Sun from striking Di Tian. 118 119

Mutilation and Loss of Faith

The Demon Empress ambushes Yun Ming and severs his left hand, reducing him from quasi-godhood to Limit Douluo. He remains determined to fight, but his damaged body and disrupted connection to his divine position leave him vulnerable. 126

Chen Xinjie subsequently attacks Yun Ming over Ya Li's protection and Long Yeyue's revival. In the Vast Sea Domain, Chen Xinjie defeats him and forcibly removes his power of faith, reducing Yun Ming to a severely weakened Super Douluo. 128 129

Return to Battle

Despite his earlier collapse, Yun Ming later returns with power above the Quasi-God realm and Divine Origin spiritual power. He intervenes in the battle involving Zang Xin, Cao Dezhi, Myriad Demon King, and Bear Lord. 246 247

He attempts to destroy Lin Chen's restrained Four-Headed Vine Demon Dragon, but his strike passes through an illusion and damages Zang Xin and Cao Dezhi's fusion barrier instead. The real dragon then overwhelms him, leaving him severely injured and with most of his combat strength lost. 248 249

Exile into the Abyss

After Yun Ming's actions are exposed and he is publicly disgraced, he reportedly chooses to descend into the Abyss permanently as atonement, vowing not to return until it has been emptied. 294
