Zuo Qianhu followed two Silver-Armored Protector Guards toward the Side Camp. His Darksteel Armor clanked against the Bluestone Path, the sounds ringing especially clearly through the empty barracks.
He couldn't help glancing back at Lei Yu outside the Camp Gate. The red-robed figure was still standing there, waving at him with a hearty smile. But there seemed to be something else in his eyes. Zuo Qianhu didn't give it much thought, assuming the general was simply going out of his way to look after a newcomer.
As soon as Zuo Qianhu left, one of Lei Yu's personal guards came over. "General Lei, Zuo Qianhu is only at the Golden Immortal Realm. If you make him a drill instructor, will those Taiyi Realm recruits accept him?"
"They will or they won't. We'll find out after a fight." Lei Yu patted the sword at his waist, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes. "You think he reached the Golden Immortal Realm for nothing? He spent tens of thousands of years slaying demons and eliminating evils, wading through mountains of corpses and seas of blood. He relied on the Clan Leader's Martial Codex to train his way to the peak. Ordinary Taiyi Realm cultivators might not be able to beat him."
The guard was taken aback. "You know this Zuo Qianhu?"
"Not personally, but I've heard of him." Lei Yu rubbed his chin, recalling the information he'd seen in the Red Dust Pearl archives years ago, and couldn't help laughing. "Did you forget? Before our Human Race unified the Small Worlds, the Red Dust Pearl stored detailed information about all the lower realms. You needed points to read it, though, and most people were reluctant to spend them. But our Lei Family has everything except a shortage of points!"
