Background / History
Empress Nuwa created the Human Race in the image of Pangu. Jiang He was her first successful creation, followed by Yue and 1,200 hand-sculpted innate humans. Nuwa subsequently named the race Ren and appointed Jiang He as its Clan Leader. Creation of humanity granted Nuwa immense merit and enabled her to attain Sagehood. 1 2
The race began with unusually high innate cultivation but lacked practical knowledge, cultivation techniques, and a means of survival. Jiang He led the early humans in hunting, making clothing, building shelters, and using fire; these foundational acts repeatedly earned merit. Nuwa protected their territory by barring beings above the Earth Immortal realm from entering for ten thousand years. 2 20
Jiang He established human ethics, surnames, the Human Calendar, and the Human Day Festival. He also spread the Basic Martial Arts Method, later refining it into the Martial Codex, a cultivation system reaching the Late Profound Immortal realm. Luo Shui City became the race's earliest major city and educational center. 4
During Jiang He's 1,300-year absence in Chaos, the Human Race expanded from roughly five million people to more than one hundred million, building hundreds of cities and developing systematic schools and academies. 5
After ten thousand years, the race had developed Rune Technology, communication networks, widespread trade, and organized exploration across the Eastern Continent. Its rapid growth made it a subject of concern for the Demon Race and other Primordial factions. 6 14
Following its first large-scale external war, the Human Race emerged as a recognized military power. Jiang He later reduced its dependence on conventional technology after concluding that it hindered the race's natural affinity for cultivation and the Great Dao. 29 33
