Background / History

Monet was born into a merchant family. Her father was a renowned merchant and her mother a skilled swordswoman, from whom Monet learned the legend of Demon Blades. During a trade voyage, the Devil Pirates destroyed their merchant guild and killed their family; Monet and her younger sister Sugar were the only survivors, later targeted for sale. 72

After Merlin saved the sisters from Black Hand Gang thugs, Monet borrowed his sword, Night Lord, and personally killed the three attackers. The violence left her shaken, but she remained focused on securing Sugar's survival. Learning that Merlin had claimed bounties for the Devil Pirates who killed her family, Monet asked him to take the sisters in. 72
