The Hyuga patriarch is an older man with slightly graying hair and a scar across one eye. He resides in the clan's most magnificent building within the Main Family compound 111.

Background

His daughter, Hinata Shinku, was a prodigy who awakened the Byakugan early, mastered nearly all Hyuga secret techniques, and was initially designated to succeed as clan head. Her intended succession faced opposition from clan elders, and she eventually left Konoha with Shiyu's Uchiha father 42.

Shinku and her partner later fought for Konoha during the Second Shinobi World War and entrusted their child, Shiyu, to the village. Their apparent deaths left Shiyu's Hyuga lineage concealed and his standing unclear to both the Hyuga and Uchiha clans 39 42.

After Shiyu defeats him, the patriarch accepts his Byakugan and taijutsu as proof of lineage. He declares Shiyu qualified for Main Family membership, while accepting Shiyu's wish to keep his existing name 112.

Potential Awakening Agreement

Shiyu awakens the patriarch's dormant potential, raising him from elite Jonin to Quasi-Kage. In return, the patriarch permits Shiyu to perform the same process on the entire Hyuga Clan and gives him an ancient stone key connected to information about his mother 112 113.

Death
