West City!
"What is this power? Gohan?"
Krillin, who had been chatting with everyone, suddenly looked toward the sky, sensing an incredibly powerful aura approaching at tremendous speed.
Could this really be Gohan's energy? How had it grown this strong in just ten days?
"What? You say my Gohan is coming?"
Hearing Krillin's voice, Chi-Chi also looked in that direction.
Suddenly, a demonic wind swept through, making everyone stagger. When the wind stopped, a young man stood before them.
"So fast! I just felt that energy far away, and in the blink of an eye, he's here. Are you Gohan?"
Of everyone present, Krillin had the sharpest eyesight, and he quickly made out the newcomer's features.
His resolute face and height didn't resemble Son Gohan, but the energy was unmistakable.
What's more, a tail exactly like the one young Gohan had was growing from his rear.
"Are you my Gohan? What happened to you? How did your appearance change so much?"
After all, a mother-son bond was strong. Chi-Chi quickly recognized this was her son, whom she hadn't seen in ten days. Tearfully, she approached Son Gohan.
In ten days, the baby fat on his face had vanished without a trace.
His height had also reached 1.4 meters. No wonder Krillin couldn't recognize him at first—this was a complete transformation.
"Mother, I'm back."
Son Gohan hadn't seen Chi-Chi in two years. He pulled her into an embrace.
In his past life, he had never experienced familial affection. Now, having accidentally transmigrated into Son Gohan, he treasured this bond deeply.
Hearing Chi-Chi's words, Krillin finally confirmed it was Gohan.
"Wow, is this really Gohan? He's gotten so handsome!"
Bulma, having confirmed the newcomer's identity, couldn't help teasing a little.
In just ten days, Son Gohan had changed so much they barely recognized him.
"Bulma, your boyfriend is Yamcha, and besides, Gohan is still a child."
Hearing Bulma's words, Krillin thought her infatuation sickness had flared up again.
He couldn't help reminding her.
"Tch, Krillin, your mind is so dirty!"
Bulma rolled her eyes at Krillin, looking disdainful.
He really had no sense of humor.
"Bulma, you're getting more beautiful every day too."
Son Gohan hugged Chi-Chi for a while, exchanging a few words of concern.
After parting from his mother, he teased Bulma as well.
Seeing everyone, Son Gohan felt his spirits lift.
Unlike in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he hadn't spoken to anyone for over two years.
"Oh ho ho, looks like our Gohan has really grown up. He even knows how to sweet-talk now."
"Since you're here, let's get ready to depart."
What woman didn't like being called beautiful? Bulma was no exception.
She walked toward the spaceship first and called out, "Piccolo."
A lift descended from the ship's underside. Krillin and the other two stepped onto it.
"Gohan, remember to wash your hair tonight. I've prepared your lessons for you. Make sure you study hard."
Chi-Chi said to Son Gohan, her face full of worry.
"I know!"
Son Gohan waved goodbye. Bulma raised the lift, then told everyone to fasten their seatbelts. She went to the spaceship's control console and issued the command to depart for Planet Namek.
Frieza Headquarters!
"Lord Cui, Lord Vegeta's spaceship has returned."
A Dog-headed Soldier from the Frieza Force's Surveillance Department saw on the monitor that a spaceship was approaching headquarters.
He immediately reported to the highest-ranking officer here, Lord Cui.
"Let's go. We'll go see if he's dead or not."
Cui said coldly. A few days ago, Vegeta's ship had sent a distress signal, saying he was severely injured and needed treatment.
After ten days of flight, his ship had finally returned.
A cigarette's worth of time later, Vegeta's spaceship landed at Frieza's headquarters, the hatch slowly opening.
"Hahaha, my Prince Vegeta, look at you now. Usually you're so cocky, aren't you? How'd you end up eating dirt this time?"
Cui and the others saw that Vegeta had actually passed out, his body covered in wounds, and the ship had activated its emergency treatment function. Seeing him like this, Cui was quite pleased.
"You lot, hurry up and take Vegeta to the Treatment Room."
The dog-headed soldier saw that Vegeta was unconscious and severely injured—if he wasn't treated in time, he would die.
Cui said nothing. Though he couldn't stand Vegeta's arrogant attitude, now wasn't the time to finish him off.
In the vast cosmos, a streak of white light shot through space at incredible speed.
Zooming in, it was a spherical spaceship, inside which lay Vegeta, battered and broken from Earth.
"Ugh, so boring. I should've brought a hibernation pod up here."
Bulma munched on snacks while watching a soap opera, complaining to herself.
"Gohan, just how strong are you? Can I see?"
Krillin asked curiously.
He wanted to know just how powerful Son Gohan really was.
That way, he could feel a bit more at ease.
"Alright, I'll let you see my strength."
Son Gohan began to slowly release his aura.
Instantly, Krillin felt a powerful pressure bearing down on him, cold sweat beading on his forehead.
Suddenly, the ship started shaking.
"Hey, what are you two doing?! If you want to fight, go to the Training Room! This is space—if something happens to the ship, we're done for!"
Bulma shouted loudly. This concerned the safety of all three of them.
If the ship had a problem in space, the consequences were unthinkable.
"Sorry, I was already being careful to control my aura."
Son Gohan suppressed his energy, and the ship stopped shaking.
He spoke apologetically.
"That aura was terrifying, the pressure too strong. I almost couldn't stay on my feet."
Krillin patted his chest, looking scared.
His heart had felt like it saw a ghost, trembling with fear.
Standing before that pressure, he could barely move.
"Krillin, should we make the most of this time to train? The stronger we are, the safer we'll be."
Son Gohan knew this trip to Planet Namek would bring them face to face with the Cosmic Emperor, Frieza.
He also hoped Krillin would become stronger, giving them a bit more security.
"With a teammate as strong as you, what's there to fear?"
Krillin said smugly. Seeing Gohan's strength had calmed him down a little.
Though he kept telling himself this trip wasn't dangerous, there were too many unknowns in the universe.
"Then let's head to the Training Room and spar a bit."
Son Gohan wanted to use this time to collect some Battle Power attributes—something was better than nothing!
Hearing Krillin's words, he couldn't help but smile.
Some people had no determination to grow stronger, always relying on others.
Sure, the Earthling physique had its limits, but the prerequisite was having the resolve to become stronger.
If you didn't even want to get stronger, how could anyone help you?
