Background / History

Tang San grew up under neglect from his father, Tang Hao. Once he could walk, he had to cook and care for Tang Hao, while poor nutrition left him physically underdeveloped. His cultivation of the Mysterious Heaven Skill allowed him to begin cultivating early and supplement his body with soul power. 5

He entered Nuoding Academy with Innate Full Soul Power and Blue Silver Grass as his martial soul. At the Seventh Dormitory, he defeated Wang Sheng with Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon, but was subsequently defeated by Ye Lan. The loss began Tang San’s long-running fixation on surpassing Ye Lan. 9 10

Under Yu Xiaogang’s guidance, Tang San acquired a Mandala Snake soul ring and developed his Blue Silver Grass along a poison-and-control path. Repeated defeats to Ye Lan led him to focus on the Clear Sky Hammer, hidden weapons, and combining his twin martial souls in battle. 12 14 71

During his growth at Shrek Academy, Tang San obtained the Eight Spider Lances after absorbing a Man Faced Demon Spider soul ring beyond the usual limit. He later discovered that the External Soul Bone could drain soul beasts’ life force and soul power, using this ability to accelerate his cultivation. 72 157

Tang San’s pursuit of power became increasingly destructive. During the battle against the Imperial Dou Team, he attempted to absorb Yu Feng’s life force in revenge for Xiao Wu’s injury, only to suffer a backlash when his Blue Silver Grass encountered Ultimate Life power. 131 132

After an illusion attack by Shi Nian drove him to despair and death, Tang San revived under the attention of the Asura God. He was identified as the Sea God Heir and allowed to continue growing under divine protection. 162 163

Tang San is described as a black-haired man before later appearing alongside Xiao Wu as an ordinary black-haired man. His Sea God phantom resembles him by roughly seventy percent and is described as otherwise ordinary apart from its divinity. 306 325
