"Lord, save us!!!"
The five of them sprinted back to Calamity Base.
Cheng Shaofeng, who was writing the version update notes, jumped in fright. Looking down, he saw fourteen burly Raiders close behind the five players, about to charge up the hill.
"Fuck!?"
"Raiders are besieging the city!?"
Everything had been fine just moments ago. How had so many Raiders suddenly appeared? Cheng Shaofeng was completely dumbfounded.
If they broke through, his newly established little base would be gone.
Zero: "Warning! The base is about to come under siege! Recall buildings?"
"Warning! The base is about to come under siege! Recall buildings?"
"Warning!"
The base interface automatically popped up before Cheng Shaofeng, a red warning icon appearing right between his eyes.
Zero had sensed the danger as well.
Cheng Shaofeng hesitated briefly, then glanced at the mountain of Raider corpses piled up at the base. They had all been transported from Salt Well Town, and he had originally planned to secretly dismantle their equipment after the players logged off.
Now, it seemed he had to use some of them first.
Cheng Shaofeng said, "Why are you running? I don't only have five players here! With these resources, I can wear them down for an entire day!"
As he spoke, he began tossing Raider corpses into the Clone Production Pod.
"Prepare to produce Clones for five players!"
The enormous Clone Production Pod began operating, breaking down biological matter while creating Clone molds. But it was still slow. After all, it could only make them one at a time, and each one took five minutes.
Cheng Shaofeng asked, "How can the Clone Production Pod speed up?"
Zero said, "The base can activate Overload Mode. Energy consumption will double, and speed will double. Activate?"
"Turn it on! Produce Clones at full speed. Make
