Background / History

Lin Yu transmigrated to Sacred Soul Village sixteen years before the Monopoly System activated. Found at the village entrance by Old Jack, he was raised as Old Jack’s grandson. He did not awaken Innate Soul Power or a Martial Soul, but supported their household through diligent work, including selling goods in Nuoding City. 1

After returning from a sales trip, Lin Yu activated the Monopoly System. It granted him the Chaos Divine Banner and the Douluo World Chat Room terminal, placing him at the center of events across the Douluo World. 1

Using the system’s power, Lin Yu established the Chaos Realm and began the Chaos God Assessment. He selected nine participants, set the Fate Divine Dice rules, awarded rewards and punishments, and prohibited combat during the trial. 2 3

Although he publicly acts as the Chaos God, Lin Yu continues living in Sacred Soul Village with Old Jack. Wang Xiaoqing eventually recognizes his identity; Lin Yu confirms that “Chaos God” is his identity within the Chaos Realm while he remains Lin Yu in the village. 46 47

Lin Yu is practical and diligent in ordinary life, having worked to support Old Jack despite possessing neither Innate Soul Power nor a Martial Soul. He respects Old Jack, though he is quietly resigned to his grandfather’s matchmaking efforts. 1
