Background / History
The Fate Divine Dice was formed from Chaos Qi by Lin Yu after he constructed the hundred-grid Chaos Realm board. It first appeared at the Starting Grid, while the board’s final tile was designated the Finish Line. 3
It became the core mechanism of Lin Yu’s Chaos God Assessment. Nine selected participants take turns casting it; the result determines their movement across the assessment board, while reaching the Finish Line first allows a participant to pass and receive a lottery reward. 3
Appearance
The Fate Divine Dice is a human-sized die condensed from Chaos Qi. It emits blue Chaos Divine Light and can vanish from one grid before reappearing at another participant’s current position. 3 9 13
- Condensed from blue Chaos Qi. 3
- Large enough for participants to lift and throw with their hands or personal power. 3 5
- Emits blue or dazzling divine light when resolving a result. 5 10
- Is normally relocated to the active participant by Lin Yu. 9 13
Abilities & Functions
Movement Resolution
A normal throw produces a result from one to six, advancing the participant by the corresponding number of grids. The dice’s divine light transports the participant to their new position. 3 5
- The first participant to reach the hundred-grid Finish Line passes the assessment. 3
- Movement can be altered by round-specific rules, including the Number Double Forward System. 34 37
- Certain skills can cause additional movement after another participant throws, including Ah Yin’s Throw Forward Skill and the Asura God King’s Throw Backward Skill. 42 43
- Function Cards can modify movement independently of a throw, such as Advance and Double Advance cards. 23 49
Reward and Punishment Determination
Under the original assessment rules, landing on an even-numbered grid grants a reward, while landing on an odd-numbered grid imposes a punishment. 3
- Rewards include pills, divine-position assessment cards, weapons, cards, beast eggs, and soul-ring improvements. 3 9 10 32 38 43
- Punishments can reduce soul power, weaken martial souls, remove soul rings, strip abilities, or alter a participant’s age. 5 17 34 48
- A grid shared by two participants can trigger a Critical Hit Challenge instead of the normal reward or punishment. 5 10
- The dice’s result may grant extra throwing opportunities under particular round rules. 9 38
Rule Adaptation
The dice operates under the current rules announced by Lin Yu, rather than a permanently fixed system. 12 34
- During the fourth round, each Function Card sacrificed granted one throw; even results could grant another throw, while odd results failed to provide a reward. 34
- The fourth round also used the Number Double Forward System, changing how rolled numbers translated into movement. 37 38
- In later rounds, one throw could split into multiple dice, allowing a participant to resolve several results at once. 48 49

Story Role / Major Arcs
First Chaos God Assessment
The dice begins the assessment by determining movement for Bai Chenxiang and the other eight selected participants. Its even-grid rewards and odd-grid punishments establish the assessment’s central risk-and-reward structure. 3 5
Critical Hit Challenges and Function Card Phase
As participants converge on the same grids, the dice’s results trigger Starting Point Challenges and Critical Hit Challenges. Its rewards also distribute Function Cards that allow participants to steal, imprison, exchange, advance, or otherwise interfere with one another. 5 10 11 12
Elimination and Changing Round Rules
Later rounds add elimination mechanisms and modified throwing systems. The dice continues to resolve movement and outcomes, including doubled advancement, multi-die throws, and skill-triggered position changes. 23 34 41 48
Trivia
- Although it is called a die, the Fate Divine Dice can split into multiple dice during later assessment rounds. 48 49
