Primordial Wilderness: I Am Hong Yun, Starting With a Saint Position to Exchange for a Wife
"Is this Hongjun?"
Hong Yun gazed at the figure seated high upon the platform above.
He hadn't even noticed when Hongjun had appeared!
Hongjun's aura was entirely restrained, returning to simplicity.
He looked like an ordinary man, yet faintly merged with heaven and earth itself!
A pair of calm, indifferent eyes, within which the laws of the world swirled.
Like a gray vortex, turning slowly!
Hongjun swept his gaze across the hall of Purple Cloud Palace, taking in all the Innate Deities who had come.
Exactly three thousand in number.
After Hongjun's great victory over Luohu, his fortune surged, and the heavenly mandate flourished to its peak!
He comprehended the Jade Disc of Creation and attained enlightenment in one fell swoop.
Achieving the realm of Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal of the Origin!
Thus becoming the first Saint in the Primordial Wilderness.
The Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal of the Origin was a realm.
While the position of Saint was the highest station in the Primordial Wilderness.
As a Saint, one enjoyed the authority of the Primordial Wilderness and naturally bore the duty to teach all beings.
After Hongjun attained enlightenment.
The Heavenly Dao manifested!
Hongjun then knew that his first task was to spread the Dao across the Primordial Wilderness and educate all living things.
Yet for Hongjun, preaching to the beings of the Primordial Wilderness brought him no harm—only benefit!
And great benefit at that!
For one thing, after Hongjun's sermons, many great powers of the Primordial Wilderness were inspired and enlightened by his guidance.
Though some did not follow Hongjun's path of immortality, they still shared a bond of gratitude with him!
Thus, all paths originated from Hongjun, earning him the title of Dao Ancestor.
Naturally, a portion of fortune was claimed by Hongjun.
But to personally teach every living being one by one—
That was not something he wished to do.
Hence, this sermon at Purple Cloud Palace, summoning three thousand Innate Gods.
Once the three sermons were complete, these three thousand gods would pass down the teachings, and Hongjun would have fulfilled his duty.
At that time, Hongjun would establish the Mystic Gate with the path of immortality.
Within the Mystic Gate, the traditions of the Three Pure Ones, Nu Wa, and the Two Sages of the West would flourish across the Primordial Wilderness.
All the fortune of the Primordial Wilderness would fall into Hongjun's hands.
At the very front, Hongjun had placed six Prayer Mats.
These mats were tied to the Saint Positions, concealing the heavenly decree.
The chosen ones had long been set in his mind.
But now, as his gaze swept over them, why had so many extra Prayer Mats suddenly appeared?
And why wasn't Zhun Ti seated?
Hongjun's originally calm expression suddenly rippled, like a pebble dropped into an ancient well.
A trace of disturbance emerged!
His right hand, hidden within his sleeve, made a quick calculation. At this moment, the Heavenly Dao was newly born, and Hongjun was the only Saint in the Primordial Wilderness.
He instantly understood the full story.
Unable to help himself, he furrowed his brow.
Among these seats, aside from the disciples he favored in his heart, The remaining two were prepared for Jieyin and Zhun Ti of the West.
This was because, during the great battle with Luohu, the Western earth veins had been shattered, leaving the West barren and lifeless.
A great karmic debt was owed!
Originally, he had planned to settle this debt with two Saint Positions.
Once Jieyin and Zhun Ti received the Saint Positions, they could revitalize the West, repaying the karmic debt he owed.
But now, only Jieyin was seated on the Prayer Mat.
And the other seat was actually occupied by the Ancestral Shaman Hou Tu!
"This Hong Yun has ruined my plans!"
Hongjun's brow twitched.
His gaze then turned toward Hong Yun, giving him a deep, lingering look.
Hong Yun had been observing Hongjun.
Their eyes met directly!
Seeing the calm in Hongjun's eyes, Hong Yun felt his heart skip a beat.
"Oh great, he's already got his eye on me?"
After Hong Yun had wisely taken form, he had often pondered this matter and was mentally prepared.
Regarding the seat-giving incident at Purple Cloud Palace.
Looking at the broader trend of events in the Primordial Wilderness, those seats were indeed people Hongjun had long decided upon in his heart.
The Three Pure Ones were incarnations of Pan Gu's Primordial Spirit, bearing the legacy of the creation.
Nu Wa was to create humanity!
The two from the West—Hongjun owed them karmic debts.
From this perspective, it truly wasn't something Hong Yun could meddle with.
But Hong Yun was exceptionally blessed, and on top of that, he cultivated the Law of Wind, making him incredibly fast at fleeing!
He had actually reached Purple Cloud Palace first and sat down on a Prayer Mat.
This was also Hongjun's fault.
If he had already made up his mind, why not wait until everyone had arrived before selecting people to grant seats?
Instead, he deliberately made it mysterious, placing the mats right at the front and letting fate decide.
Wasn't that just a matter of whoever ran fastest got one?
Poor Hong Yun was dragged into it.
Originally, it was because of his deep blessings that he managed to get a seat despite Hongjun's calculations.
And then, due to his personality, he actually gave it away!
"Heaven's gift refused brings its own curse!"
Hong Yun's blessings allowed him to obtain the opportunity for a Saint Position. Even though he gave it up, he could still bear the consequences.
If he had let it go completely, that would have been fine. But when he learned that the Primordial Violet Qi was the key to becoming a Saint, he grew reluctant to part with it.
In that back-and-forth, his original blessings were completely drained!
No matter how deep one's blessings, they couldn't withstand being tossed around by a Saint Position twice like that.
In the end, he could only meet his demise.
In later legends, Shen Nong, Medicine Buddha, Yun Zhong Zi, Zhao Gongming, and San Xiao were all possible reincarnations of Hong Yun's True Spirit fragments.
Take Shen Nong, for example—it was because Taiqing Laozi wanted to repay his karmic debt to Hong Yun, and Zhen Yuan Zi had used the Earth Book to shelter humanity during the Witch-Demon War.
Taiqing Laozi, the leader of the Human Sect, made his move!
Thus came the tale of Hong Yun reincarnating as the Earth Emperor Shen Nong!
Aside from Zhao Gongming and San Xiao not faring too well, the others seemed to have decent outcomes.
Through this, Hong Yun appeared to enjoy the protection of fate and fortune across all four sects.
But the carefree and unrestrained Old Ancestor Hong Yun had become a disciple of the Saints.
And this Hong Yun, who had transmigrated here, how could he dare gamble his life on the truth of these legends?
Even if they were true, would the "Shen Nong" and others of that time still be him?
