Zhen Yuan Zi is Hong Yun's longtime brother and closest companion. The two have known each other for hundreds of millions of years, and Zhen Yuan Zi is accustomed to Hong Yun's unusual caution and behavior without becoming suspicious. Hong Yun considers him someone trustworthy enough to entrust with his life. 33 42 58

He possesses the Earth Book, an innate treasure born from the Earth Fetal Membrane, and resides at Wuzhuang Temple, where he protects and cultivates the Ginseng Fruit Tree. The tree bears only thirty fruits every ten thousand years; Zhen Yuan Zi is notably guarded about allowing others to consume them. 7 43
