Background / History

At the Purple Cloud Palace, Hong Yun yields his seat to Zhun Ti, ending the conflict over seating. Zhun Ti accepts the opening but responds with a dismissive “hmph,” provoking Zhen Yuan Zi's anger and leaving a poor impression on the others. 7

Zhun Ti later receives a favor from Hong Yun through circumstances he did not intend to acknowledge. His behavior becomes a source of amusement among the gathered cultivators, and he recognizes too late that his conduct has caused the others to misunderstand him. 37

Maitreya returns to Mount Sumeru as a Nascent Soul after losing his body. Zhun Ti immediately moves to protect his disciple, using the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree to stabilize Maitreya's condition. 124 126

Personality

Zhun Ti is ambitious, proud, and highly conscious of the Western Boundary's poverty relative to the East. He openly resents the imbalance of talent and resources, recruiting beings broadly because even mediocre Eastern recruits would be valuable in the West. 467 501

He is also pragmatic and opportunistic. When disadvantaged, he retreats, bargains, disguises himself, or seeks alliances rather than accepting a direct loss. His desperation to attain and retain sainthood repeatedly drives him toward dangerous decisions. 137 457 470

Zhun Ti is fiercely protective of Maitreya, but that concern coexists with ruthlessness: after extracting the Karma Demon God from Maitreya, he devours it to claim its insight into karma. 124 624 625

Abilities & Skills

Heavenly Dao Saint Authority

As a Heavenly Dao Saint, Zhun Ti can invoke Heavenly Dao power to restore strength and sustain himself in battle.

  • Recovers part of his strength after suffering heavy injuries from the Witch and Demon formations. 515
  • Fights Hong Yun for an extended period without either side immediately gaining the upper hand. 516
  • His Saint status does not prevent severe injury from superior treasures, formations, or concentrated attacks. 514 519 811

Golden Body Dharma Appearance

Zhun Ti manifests a multi-armed golden Dharma body for offense and defense.

  • Initially manifests eight arms wielding weapons during his duel with Hong Yun. 130
  • Later reveals a three-headed, six-armed Dharma Body after being devastated in the Shaman-Demon conflict. 519
  • Expands his Dharma Appearance to twenty-four heads and eighteen arms to oppose Pan Gu's True Body. 624
  • Can regenerate severed golden palms, though attacks from the God-Slaying Spear devour portions of his golden body and Great Dao. 746 807

Great Dao of Karma

After obtaining the Karma Demon God's insight, Zhun Ti develops the Great Dao of Karma into a means of survival and manipulation.

  • Uses karma to locate the hidden young Golden Crows in Tanggu. 584
  • Distributes the force of the Ancestral Shamans' attack through karma, surviving at the cost of severe injury. 629
  • His cultivation of karma remains under Hong Yun's greater control because Hong Yun possesses Zhun Ti's corresponding Great Dao Runes. 625 754

Disguise and Intrigue

Zhun Ti repeatedly operates through concealment, impersonation, and indirect provocation.

  • Disguises himself as ordinary members of the Witch Clan or Human Race while recruiting from the Demon Race. 501
  • Uses a self-destruct spell while disguised among the Witch Clan to ignite conflict with the Demon Race. 503
  • Infiltrates Tanggu without alerting Xi He or Taiyi by using the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree to bypass their formations and erase the disturbance. 585
