At the entrance to Kusagakure, Mo Chen's ten Shadow Clones joined forces to use Earth Release, while another ten Shadow Clones joined forces to use Water Release, combining them into a massive compound ninjutsu.

Core of the Moving Earth cut away a large chunk of land and used Chakra to thrust it high into the air.

With ten Shadow Clones working together, the amount of Chakra released at once was terrifying.

Exploding Water Colliding Wave sent a vast surge of water crashing forward, on the scale of a lake.

Though this massive compound ninjutsu was still nowhere near the Deva Path Pain's Almighty Push, Kusagakure wasn't Konoha!

And so, under the horrified gazes of all the Kusagakure shinobi in pursuit, more than half the village was thrust high into the air.

Many of the pursuers were moving too fast to react. Their bodies were carried up with the chunk of land against their will.

Some were pinned hard against the ground, while others screamed as they tumbled down from the sky.

But that wasn't what terrified them most.

The next moment, a vast curtain of water came crashing down from the heavens, like the Milky Way spilling onto the earth. Every Kusagakure shinobi who saw it was overcome with despair.

"Stop!!!"

The Kusagakure leader arrived late, and his face turned green at the sight.

Without a second thought, he leaped into the air.

There was no point in trying to stop Mo Chen's ninjutsu. An attack covering such an enormous area would take time to charge, even if he had the power to block it.

Now that the ninjutsu had taken shape, there was no way to stop it.

The Kusagakure leader could only use Wind Release Ninjutsu to blow the Kusagakure shinobi caught in its path to safety, one by one.

Then he could only watch as the water pouring down from above slammed into the ground, instantly destroying and swallowing half the village before surging toward the other half.

"You bastard!! Don't let me find out who you are, or I'll never forgive you!!!"

The Kusagakure leader trembled all over as he stared at the devastation.

As the leader of Kusagakure, how could he not be driven mad? Someone had slipped into the village, stolen its most important strategic resource, and left without a trace. He hadn't even caught a glimpse of the culprit.

The theft of the human pill had already been a huge loss for Kusagakure.

Now more than half the village had been destroyed, with countless dead and wounded. It was all too easy to see what would happen in the war with the neighboring country: Kusagakure would lose!

From here, they could either surrender and pay enormous reparations, or wait for Kusagakure to be wiped out. There was no third option.

"It's over. Kusagakure is finished!"

The Kusagakure leader went deathly pale. He spat out a mouthful of blood and fell backward.

The village had already been thrown into chaos. With its leader unconscious, there was no one left to take charge.

Everyone was bewildered and terrified. Not even the injured had anyone organizing a rescue.

In the distance, the squad led by Might Guy stood on high ground, staring in shock at the chaos. They weren't sure whether they should lend a hand.

As an allied nation, Konoha ought to help, since they had happened to be there.

But jumping in blindly without knowing what had happened might mean getting an icy reception—or even landing themselves in trouble.

"What on earth happened? Was it an invasion by an enemy nation?" Rock Lee couldn't bear to watch. If Guy hadn't stopped him, he would have rushed in to help already.

Neji scanned the area with his Byakugan, then shook his head. "Whoever did this has already left. We don't know their motive yet. But the Kusagakure leader has been knocked unconscious, and there's no one in charge. If an enemy attacked now..."

Serves them right!

Tenten, on the other hand, was relieved. She was the only one who knew the truth, and her attention was still on the Chat Group and Karin's livestream.

By now, Mo Chen had already gotten away with Karin and her mother. The Kusagakure shinobi were too busy looking after themselves to send anyone after them.

Seeing that, Tenten finally relaxed.

As long as Mo Chen and Karin were safe, the rest had nothing to do with her.

Might Guy thought for a moment, then said to his students, "Konoha and Kusagakure are allies, after all. There's not much else we can get involved in, so let's help rescue the injured!"

With that, he led his students toward the disaster site.

Tenten was reluctant. From what Karin had said earlier in the Chat Group, there were hardly any innocent people in the whole of Kusagakure.

But there was nothing she could do. They had arrived at just the wrong time, so they had to at least put on a show.

Meanwhile, Mo Chen had recalled all his Shadow Clones and brought Karin and her mother to a deserted mountain not far from Kusagakure.

Only after confirming they were safe did he set the two of them down.

The moment her feet touched the ground, Karin couldn't help throwing herself into Mo Chen's arms, hugging him tightly.

"Uh!" Mo Chen froze for a moment, but didn't push Karin away.

"Thank you... thank you..." Karin said through her tears, repeating those words over and over.

Even now, Karin still felt as though she were dreaming. None of it seemed real.

She had really left Kusagakure. From now on, she wouldn't have to suffer their abuse anymore!

After a long while, when Mo Chen saw that she still hadn't calmed down, he could only say helplessly, "Let go of me for now. We can talk in a little while. I need to check on your mother first."

Karin's mother was barely clinging to life. If they waited too long, she might really be gone.

At his words, Karin suddenly snapped out of it. "Mom!"

She quickly pulled away from Mo Chen and hurried over to her mother.

She had seen in the video that Mo Chen had brought her mother back to life, and the video's authenticity had been confirmed just moments ago.

But back at the hospital, she had seen her mother seemingly die. Even now, she couldn't sense the slightest sign of life.

"Mom, Mom, please wake up! We're safe now. Please wake up!" Karin cried and laughed at the same time.

She no longer worried about her mother's life. She just wanted to tell her the good news as soon as possible. Her mother would be so happy.

"All right, let me take over," Mo Chen said with a smile as he came to Karin's mother and took her right hand.

Through the palm of his hand, he transferred his Chakra, which was imbued with vitality.

This wasn't a ninjutsu. The Uzumaki Clan had immense vitality. Though Karin's mother had been drained of her Chakra, that was only temporary.

If the people of Kusagakure hadn't been so recklessly exploitative, Karin's mother wouldn't have been on the brink of death.

As long as she had some Chakra left in her body, her Uzumaki constitution would let her recover quickly.

That was why the people of Kusagakure truly deserved to die!

If only they had occasionally let Karin's mother rest, she wouldn't have ended up like this.

As Mo Chen transferred his Chakra, the flame of life in Karin's mother was rekindled. Her deathly pale face gradually regained its color, and her lifeless spirit seemed to slowly awaken.

Karin had a strong sensory ability, so she noticed the change immediately. The last trace of unease in her heart vanished completely.
