Battle against the Collector

Matatabi warns Yugito during Minamoto Takuya's ambush, but Yugito's anger over her endangered comrade drives her to unleash increasingly greater amounts of Matatabi's Chakra. She ultimately undergoes full Tailed Beast Transformation. 98 99

Matatabi attacks Minamoto with a massive fireball, but he counters with Shadow Clones and Adamantine Sealing Chains. Although Matatabi initially resists the chains, it is struck by Minamoto's enhanced punch and later devastated by Wind Release: Rasenshuriken. 99 100

Minamoto binds the injured beast again and seals away a portion of its Chakra, returning Yugito to human form in critical condition. 100

Later State

The loss of Chakra leaves Matatabi notably weaker when Killer B arrives on the battlefield. 116

After Minamoto divides the Ten-Tails, Matatabi appears among the re-formed Nine Tailed Beasts. Its body is reduced to the size of a ninja hound, and its Chakra level is equalized with the other eight. 365
