"It's nothing serious." Deren sat back down, a sly smile spreading across his face. "I need some kind of nighttime cover. Especially something to conceal, hide, and cover my movements. I think only Elune can provide that."
Tyrande closed her eyes again, moonlight streaming down her face. As the moonlight faded, she slowly nodded:
Elune agreed, but on one condition—
Deren had already stood up, a victorious smile on his face, "It's a secret, don't reveal it."
"Yes." Tyrande nodded. " Elune doesn't want to get involved in a full-scale war with the Horde."
"That suits me perfectly. I was thinking the same thing. Sneaking in, destroying the Eye of the Storm, and then retreating silently. No one will know who came to Orgrimmar or who destroyed the Eye of the Storm." Deren touched his lips with his index finger, leaned closer to Tyrande, and whispered. Moonlight streamed merrily across his face.
Tyrande took a half-step back in disdain, avoiding the approaching Deren, and said, "Come here, Elune will bless you. It will protect you from being discovered at night while you move." She then stepped back, making way for the moonlight.
Deren stepped into the moonlight, a warmth emanating from him, finally forming a rune that hid on his forehead. The moonlight suddenly flickered, and Tyrande frowned, asking, "Do you bear the blessings of other gods?"
After thinking for a moment, Deren decided to confess honestly. "I once received the blessing of the Azeroth's Soul."
"Impossible!" Tyrande exclaimed excitedly. But the moonlight fell silent the next moment, and after a few seconds, Tyrande said with difficulty, "You brat, you really did receive the blessing of Azeroth. Although I'm very curious, Elune told me to keep this a secret. Alright, now you also have Elune's Blessing on you."
"How effective is this rune? I've prepared two teams, one for attack and one for backup. I'm the only one with the rune, will it work for the others?" Deren asked curiously.
Tyrande's face twitched. He was indeed a cunning man; he hadn't made things clear before, and now that he'd gotten a benefit, he wanted to add to it. She had no choice but to close her eyes and ask Elune. Soon, the moonlight was bright. Tyrande asked, "How many of you are on this mission?"
Deren counted on his fingers. "Me, two mages, one magical creature, and two Dragon, um, both Black Dragon!"
Hearing this, the moonlight seemed to flicker slightly. Tyrande asked, "What kind of magical combination is this?"
"A combination no one could have predicted," Deren said smugly.
The moonlight flowed again, then transformed into six leaves that rested in Tyrande's hand. Tyrande placed these lush green leaves into a special Space Bag and handed it to Deren: "These are World Tree Leaf blessed by Elune. Eat them before you act, and you will not only receive Elune's Blessing during your mission, increasing your stealth, but you will also temporarily improve your physical attributes and magical affinity. The effects will last for one day and one night. It's up to you."
Deren quickly accepted the valuable gift and sincerely thanked Elune. Tyrande, seeing that her business was done, prepared to leave. Deren stopped her, saying, "On the Kalimdor, we in Theramore sincerely wish to live in harmony with the Night Elf. We should have many common ground in dealing with the orcs. I hope we can continue to maintain this cooperation in the future."
Tyrande nodded in agreement. Then she looked at Deren, to see if he had anything else to say.
Deren took a recording crystal from his Space Bag and handed it to Tyrande. The latter took it with a puzzled look and activated it with Divine Arts. Then, a scene appeared in the room where the Undead used the Medivh's Book to summon Archimonde and looked down on the scene from above.
Tyrande was startled and almost dropped the crystal, exclaiming, "What is this? What a terrible and evil ritual!" The moonlight in the room also began to waver, seemingly reflecting Elune's equally excited state of mind.
Deren pointed casually to the summoning site and said, "Last year, my companions and I thwarted a wicked summoning ritual in Dalaran. I think Elune should understand what that means. Archimonde was prevented from being summoned to this world. What benefit did the Night Elf receive?"
The image of the crystal quickly played from a bird's-eye view, showing a massive explosion that destroyed the summoning ritual.
"This is our sincerity, Theramore's." Deren finished with a flourish.
As the moonlight gradually stabilized, Tyrande spoke, "So you secretly stopped Archimonde. Elune said she thanked you for your contributions to Azeroth. So it's not surprising that you have the blessing of the Azeroth's Soul. If this demon comes to Azeroth, he will surely settle accounts with us for the War of the Ancients. The World Tree and the Night Elf will inevitably suffer. This is a great favor."
Deren shook his head and said, "Please tell Elune that Azeroth is our common home. We are willing to cooperate to protect this world."
Tyrande said, " Elune said that from now on you will be the Night Elf's best friend. If you need anything, you can contact her directly through the temple."
"Alright, the dangers facing Azeroth are indeed not completely resolved yet. In the future, we will still need Elune and the Night Elf to cooperate to prevent evil from destroying the world." Deren reached out and shook hands with Tyrande. The latter put away her previous dismissive expression and replaced it with a solemn one.
"Actually, there's another hidden danger within your Night Elf!" Deren thought for a moment and said, " The Emerald Dream has been corrupted. You probably don't know that, do you? The green dragons are always sleeping, haven't you ever found that strange?"
Tyrande was shocked, and Moonlight immediately retreated, as if checking if their base had been raided. She stammered, "This is impossible. The Emerald Dream has always been Elune's domain, guarded by green dragons. And countless Druid are practicing there."
Deren chuckled and said, "I hope I'm wrong. Anyway, we can investigate this thoroughly when we get back. But there's no rush. The Dragon Race have all retreated and aren't getting involved in this orc mess. I'm curious about their stance, though."
The moonlight shone down again, Tyrande said gratefully, " Elune said, thank you for your warning. There are indeed many things wrong in the Emerald Dream. She will purify the corrupted parts. As for the Dragon Race, she is powerless to interfere. I'm sorry to disappoint you."
Deren then formally took his leave, picked up the precious leaf, and returned home. Onyxia was discussing bomb modifications with Jaina. Seeing Deren return, she immediately ran up and gave him a hug. "Darling, you're back! I thought you'd been seduced by that High Priestess."
Deren quickly exclaimed in self-defense, "That priest is no match for even a single finger of my Oni. Come on, see what good stuff I've gotten my hands on."
"Leaves?" Black Dragon asked with a dark face as he saw Deren pour a few leaves out of the bag.
As a mage, Jaina was more sensitive and sensed the unusual, mysterious power emanating from the leaves. Deren quickly explained what he had obtained from Elune.
"Okay, Black Dragon eat leaves! That's pretty funny," Onyxia remarked, puzzled.
Second update.
