Goblin Treasure
It took some time to fly over the bay, and we didn't get close to southern Durotar until dusk.
The Black Dragon Prince began to descend. Night was approaching, and the desolate coastline was devoid of life, save for some Murloc and other creatures moving about in the shallow water.
As the Black Dragon flew by, they fled in terror into the deep water.
"Fly closer!" Aegwynn urged Nefarian to get closer to the towering cliffs on the shore.
"Alright!" the Black Dragon responded in a low voice, then swooped down and glided slowly, level with the cliff face.
"Quickly, Anveena, start scanning. Let's explore these cliffs along the coast together. Are there any magically concealed places?"
"Yes, teacher!" Following his usual training, Little Sunwell produced a ball of energy in his hand and began to emit invisible magical fluctuations, sweeping across the rocks on the cliff face.
A moment later, Aegwynn's eyes lit up as she noticed something. She shouted to Nefarian, "Quickly, get closer to that rock!" Then she cast an Arcane Missile to guide the way.
The Black Dragon quickly followed the Arcane Missile trails to the cliff, looked around curiously, and said, "There's nothing there?"
Aegwynn rose steadily from the saddle and cast a purification spell on the rocks on the sea surface.
After a flash of Arcane light, something magical happened: the rocks vanished, revealing a dark cave entrance.
"Wow, this is amazing! What's in there? Why do I smell gold coins?" the Black Dragon said curiously.
Aegwynn teleported from the dragon's back to the cave entrance on the cliff.
She cast a small light spell inside, illuminating the dark cave, and without hesitation, she walked in as if taking a stroll.
After taking only ten or so steps, Aegwynn casually waved his hand, and a crossbow bolt, which had been lying in ambush, shot out from the cave wall and embedded itself straight into the rock on the other side.
"A little trick by the goblins. But they put a lot of effort into it," Aegwynn muttered to herself.
She sensed it again with her mind, and a knowing smile appeared on her face. With a phase folding spell, a magical treasure chest appeared in her hand. She looked at the treasure chest, and her brows furrowed involuntarily.
Outside, Nefarian watched as his teacher entered the cave, then emerged a short while later, returning to the dragon's back. The Black Dragon asked curiously, "Teacher, what's in there?"
"It's nothing, just a goblin's Booty Bay cave. There are some magical items inside that caused Anveena's magical fluctuations to resonate," Aegwynn explained casually.
The Black Dragon shook its head uneasily and tentatively asked, "Teacher, could you give me some gold coins?"
"Fine, fine, I'll give you some gold coins when we get back. Hurry up and keep flying north," Aegwynn said impatiently.
Upon hearing this, the Black Dragon excitedly flapped its wings a few times and flew forward with all its might.
Life as a dragon has become so dull; only gold coins can bring comfort and joy to its heart.
"Slow down! Slow down!" Aegwynn hurriedly called out to the overly excited Black Dragon.
While flying and exploring, Aegwynn found several more goblin Booty Bay caves before even reaching the Echo Isles.
Besides Nefarian shaking his head excitedly, Aegwynn remarked, "This place is full of places goblins like to store things. If there were any wells hidden there, the goblins would have found them long ago."
If Jaina ever needs money in the future, she can always look around the fields; there's bound to be even more hidden treasure. Do all the goblins in Ratchet like to bury their money in holes?
The next morning, Anveena returned to Deren's house, yawning. After a busy night, she teleported back to Theramore before dawn.
Deren rushed to greet the treasure-hunting trio, while Nefarian transformed into a black-haired man. Seeing Onyxia, he excitedly exclaimed, "Little sister, we found quite a few good things last night, guess what?"
Onyxia, uninterested and unwilling to acknowledge her silly brother, said, "What else could it be? Teacher Aegwynn doesn't seem happy at all, only you're so excited. You probably found some gold or silver treasure."
Nefarian proudly pulled out a bag of gold coins, opening it like a treasure to show his sister. "So many gold coins! The teacher gave them to me. I haven't seen so many gold coins since we lost Blackrock Mountain."
Onyxia waved her hand impatiently. "Keep it safe, keep it safe, don't embarrass yourself."
Deren comforted the tired Little Sunwell, "Anveena, you've worked so hard, you're the best. How about we rest for a few days and then go treasure hunting again?"
Jaina was also there, unconsciously touching her lower abdomen, which was only slightly protruding, but being a mother for the first time made her want to touch it. She smiled as she watched her family bustling about.
Anveena ate the breakfast her Deren had made, and happily squinted her eyes. "Brother, I'm not tired. Let's find the things quickly so I can help you a little."
Deren affectionately patted the top of her head.
As Aegwynn watched the others interact, she moved her fingers, and bowls and plates flew over by themselves, automatically serving her food.
She then spoke, "Last night, we found the Echo Isles, but aside from discovering the goblin's Booty Bay cave, we didn't find anything else significant. However, it proves that the Durotar coast has the ability to Booty Bay. Perhaps searching further north, closer to Azshara, might yield some discoveries."
Jaina said, "Thank you for your hard work, teacher."
Aegwynn waved his hand dismissively, saying, "It's nothing. The fun of exploring and treasure hunting is quite good. It's a pity you can't come with me. Otherwise, the joy of opening up goblin Booty Bay caves and finding gold coins or magical treasures would be very interesting."
As he spoke, he took out a Space Bag and handed it to Jaina, "Look, this is yesterday's haul. Not bad, right? More than 10,000 gold coins, and some even more valuable magical items."
These goblins are so greedy; they all like to find a cave by the sea to hide their valuables. Keep these safe; they'll help supplement Theramore's finances."
Deren chuckled, "This can be considered a financial subsidy for the goblins. Next time, we'll give them some perks. For example, when goblins come to Theramore, each one can receive a coupon worth one Silver Coin. As long as they spend a certain amount, they can get a discount of one Silver Coin."
Jaina's eyes lit up. "That's a good idea. Given the goblins' greedy nature, they'll definitely come to Theramore to buy more goods, increasing the city's trade volume."
The ruler of Theramore immediately pulled out paper and pen from his pocket to write it down, preparing to implement this new economic policy targeting the goblins as soon as possible.
"Jaina, don't work too hard. You can do these things later," Deren said with concern.
Jaina waved her hand and said, "It's alright, it's alright. I feel that this coupon policy will definitely attract a large number of goblins to trade. It will be very beneficial to Theramore's development. My body isn't that fragile."
Aegwynn watched her energetic disciple, smiled wryly, and didn't try to dissuade her. She knew that Jaina was inherently a strong woman. Domination and order brought her more joy and pleasure.
At the same time, she turned to stare at Deren. How could this kid always come up with one crazy idea after another? He knew everything about the military, the economy, personnel, and even the affairs of the Horde, elves, and goblins.
The chosen one of Azeroth's Soul is terrifyingly powerful!
