Background / History

Gu Qi was originally a 21st-century man who died by electric shock and transmigrated into the Naruto world. He arrived on the day of the Nine-Tails’ release, though the major historical events of that day did not change. Early in his new life, villagers treated him with hostility, calling him a “Yaoguai,” while Kakashi Hatake became his principal protector and family figure. 1

He learned that his father had been a Hatake Clan elder whose notes included the recipe for Ration Pill dried meat. Later, Kakashi delivered further materials left by Gu Qi’s parents: notes on Fuinjutsu, Medical Ninjutsu, and other subjects. A notebook written in simplified Chinese revealed that both parents were themselves transmigrators, who met during the Second Shinobi World War, organized the Fuinjutsu system, and possessed high attainments in Medical Ninjutsu. 5 110

Kakashi later revealed Gu Qi’s Uzumaki Clan heritage when Gu Qi became concerned by his growing Chakra reserves. 67
