Tang San and Master

Because of Jerry's earlier interference, Master had not taken Tang San as his disciple. However, during Tang San's years of cultivation at the academy, he and Master had instead become both teacher and friend. Tang San learned much from Master and, as before, reached Rank 29 by graduation. Master also recommended that he continue his studies at Shrek Academy. Only his first two Soul Skills were different. His Second Soul Ring came from a six-hundred-year-old Poison Vine, adding a Poison Attribute to Tang San's Blue Silver Grass. Combined with his movement techniques and hidden weapon skills, the leaves he fired carried both sword aura and poison, making them far stronger than before. The skill was Entanglement; his original First Soul Skill had become his Second Soul Skill. However, Tang San rarely used Entanglement, since hidden weapons were more natural for him. Everything seemed to be guided by some force correcting the plot Jerry had altered!

Master had taken in twenty students with Innate Soul Power of Level 1. By graduation, the highest among them had only reached Level 9. Even though Master had invested many resources, it had been useless. Only then did he realize how laughable his theories were. Perhaps it was the butterfly effect caused by Jerry's changes to the plot. After Tang San woke him up to the truth, Master seemed to have his wits about him, and his theoretical research also made breakthroughs!

He took out his Ten Core Competencies of Martial Soul theory and crossed out the first point: "There are no useless Martial Souls, only Soul Masters who do not know how to cultivate." This was the conclusion he had reached after personally teaching twenty students! So what if they knew how to cultivate? Their progress was slow, and they might never break through to Soul Ancestor in their entire lives!

He also crossed out the second point: "Innate Soul Power is directly proportional to Martial Soul strength." The same Martial Soul could possess varying levels of Innate Soul Power. With Tang San's help, he figured it out and crossed it out as well!

He crossed out the third point as well: "The theory of a Soul Master's limit for absorbing Soul Rings." Unwilling to accept it, he used his connections to obtain records on Soul Masters from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. He discovered that their limits were generally higher than those he had previously compiled. Only then did he realize that the records he had seen at Spirit Hall had all belonged to ordinary Soul Masters, and he understood his mistake!

He also crossed out the fourth point: "Martial Souls are divided into two major categories: Beast Martial Souls and Weapon Martial Souls." From the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's records, he found that their classification of Martial Souls was completely different from his own. He had previously categorized Soul Beast-type Martial Souls as Beast Martial Souls and everything else as Weapon Martial Souls. Yet the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's records divided them into Beast Martial Souls, Weapon Martial Souls, Food-type Martial Souls, Plant-type Martial Souls, Body Martial Souls, and Elemental Martial Souls. (There were actually God-tier Martial Souls as well, such as the Six-Winged Angel and Sea God's Martial Soul, but even the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan did not know about them.) Their classification was more comprehensive than his two categories, so he crossed it out. Back then, when his own Martial Soul awakened, he had only Innate Half-Level Soul Power. As the eldest son of the clan chief, he was looked down upon by his clan and had run off early to cultivate at Spirit Hall. Spirit Hall was not foolish enough to let him see high-level information, not even with Bibi Dong's help!

He did not cross out the fifth point: "Every Soul Master has a path of development." He merely added many more points to it! For example, according to his theory, Tang San should have followed the Control System or Support System. Yet Tang San had become an Agility Attack System Soul Master. Combined with movement techniques and hidden weapon skills Master could not understand, it left Master utterly dumbfounded!

The other points had not changed much. After all, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's records were limited. The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon had no divine inheritance, and Spirit Hall had not made public any information on God-tier Martial Souls or God-Bestowed Soul Rings! Furthermore, the matter of Soul Beasts being able to sacrifice themselves to become Martial Souls was likely known by only a handful of people across the entire continent! Therefore, Master's theory that Martial Souls could only be inherited from both parents had no factual examples to prove it wrong! As long as Spirit Hall and Sea God Island did not expose him, no one would know his Soul Ring theory was wrong!

After the twenty students graduated, he stopped caring about them! Deeply disheartened, he quietly left Nuoding Academy himself and vanished without a trace!
