Better Inequality Than Scarcity

Within a single day, ten Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts were born. News of it quickly spread throughout the Star Dou Great Forest. Soul Beasts in every region were overjoyed, and many eighty- or ninety-thousand-year Soul Beasts began cultivating without restraint. The heavenly punishment of lightning tribulations had always hung over their heads. Once they reached eighty or ninety thousand years, they had to suppress their cultivation. But now, the huge boulder pressing down on all Soul Beasts had finally been removed! They no longer needed to hold themselves back!

As time passed, the Soul Power Concentration in the Lightning Attribute Area rose again, reaching roughly twenty times its original level. Of course, it still could not compare to the Core Region. Beneath the Lake of Life in the Core Region lay Spirit Gold, which made the Soul Power Concentration in the air extremely high—around forty to fifty times that of ordinary regions. Later, Jerry planted many Ten Thousand Year Plant Soul Beasts in the Core Region and elevated some of the original trees and vegetation into Thousand Year Soul Beasts and Ten Thousand Year Soul Beasts. This brought the Core Region's Soul Power to an astonishing eighty times the normal level. The Soul Beasts there could practically lie down and sleep while their Soul Power soared!

After the Soul Power Concentration in the Lightning Attribute Area increased, the Plant Type and Animal Type Soul Beasts within it cultivated even faster. The faster the plants cultivated, the more Soul Power they exhaled. It was practically a perfect cycle. As for the other regions, some had only reached five times their original Soul Power Concentration, while others had reached six or seven times! Their growth was somewhat slow, and the Soul Beasts in those regions became unhappy. They had all been more or less equal before, but suddenly the Lightning Attribute Area had advanced by leaps and bounds—and it was all because of Jerry. People feared inequality more than scarcity, and Soul Beasts were no different. However, most Soul Beasts were straightforward. They said what they had to say face-to-face rather than scheming behind others' backs. Thus, the other regions sent representatives to the Core Region to ask for help!

Through the changes in the Lightning Attribute Area, Jerry discovered that after ordinary plants absorbed large amounts of Attribute Soul Power, they could evolve corresponding attributes as well! The Bone Fertilizer Seeds he had made before actually contained other attributes too, but because there had been too little of them, no plant evolution had occurred. Now, the Lightning Attribute Area had given Jerry an idea!

The other regions all had many ordinary Plant Soul Beasts, most of them trees. They possessed no special attributes, and even after advancing to a Thousand Year Soul Beast, they remained the same.

Originally, each region had relied on these vast numbers of trees and the Attribute Plants they cultivated to raise their Soul Power Concentration. The increase had been rapid at first, but after reaching a certain point, the Attribute Plants began suppressing the ordinary plants. They had attributes, while ordinary plants could not compete with them! This was especially true in the Fire Attribute Area, where the ordinary plants were nearly being suppressed to death. Thus, after reaching five or six times the original concentration, it became difficult to increase it any further!

Jerry thought of the enormous amount of Minerals in the Star Dou Great Forest, many of which possessed attributes. Soul Beasts did not know how to forge or use them, while human Soul Beasts did not dare enter to mine them, so they had simply been left to waste. With that thought, Jerry informed the Soul Beast representatives from every region to begin mining ores with other attributes from their respective regions and transport them to the Core Region!

Mining was difficult for humans, but for Soul Beasts, it was simple. Soul Beasts had large Body Types, great strength, and were obedient—perfect workers!

The entire great forest became lively once more, with construction sites everywhere. The Soul Beasts mined a batch, transported it to the Core Region, then carried back ores of the corresponding attributes that had been delivered from other regions and buried them! However, Jerry instructed them to prioritize burying the ores beneath ordinary plants. Everything proceeded in an orderly fashion!

Jerry planned to turn every region into an extreme environment. That way, the ordinary plants within them would eventually evolve attributes as well! Although the process would be slow, time was the one thing Soul Beasts lacked least. A few years, decades, or even centuries passed in the blink of an eye for Soul Beasts. By then, every region would become the finest Mimicry Training Ground!

Watching the Soul Beasts develop better and better, Jerry felt deeply gratified. An idea had come to him, and it was time to begin experimenting! Jerry had kept many ores of every attribute and was preparing to conduct an experiment. If it succeeded, it would change the entire continent!
