Attribute Absorption Experiment

Ever since learning that Ordinary Plants could gain attributes by absorbing Attribute Soul Power, Jerry had pondered it for a long time! He finally decided to use his own Martial Soul for an experiment. In the past, Jerry had feared that conflicting Soul Power Attributes could cause his body to explode! After all, his teachers had taught him at school that many Soul Masters who absorbed Soul Rings with attributes different from their Martial Souls would die from their bodies exploding!

But Jerry was different. He understood the principle of Five Elements Mutual Generation and Restriction; most conflicts were caused by clashes between the five elements! Jerry had once believed his Martial Soul was Wood Attribute, which was why his first few Soul Skills had all been support-type. But after seeing Ordinary Plants evolve attributes, he realized that attributes could be stacked, just like Attribute Plants. They had probably once been Ordinary Plants with Wood Attribute, then absorbed other attributes and evolved the abilities of those attributes. At their core, they were still Wood Attribute; they simply had one additional attribute! For example, Flame Grass should have dual Wood and Fire Attributes. Its Wood Attribute was merely gentler in manifestation and had been overlooked! A careful observation would reveal that Flame Grass still retained the characteristics of Wood Attribute plants!

Jerry's Martial Soul had originally been Wood Attribute. His Fourth Soul Ring had provided a large amount of Lightning Attribute, and Lightning Attribute did not conflict with Wood Attribute, which was why Jerry could use Lightning Attribute abilities!

Jerry had observed many Attribute Plants. It now seemed that they all appeared through the combination of Wood Attribute and another attribute. So far, he had yet to discover an Attribute Plant with three attributes combined into one!

Jerry had originally planned to wait until he reached level 50 before absorbing Soul Rings of other attributes to gain those attributes. But now he had discovered that plants themselves could absorb other attributes and evolve. When Soul Masters cultivated, they should be absorbing Soul Power from the air with the same attribute as themselves! The Soul Power in the air should also carry various attributes, which was why Mimicry Cultivation existed. Mimicry Cultivation essentially increased the concentration of a certain type of Attribute Soul Power in the air, thereby increasing Cultivation Speed! Once he understood that Soul Power in the air also had attributes, Jerry realized that if his Martial Soul absorbed a large amount of Wood Element, it might evolve. Water generated Wood, so absorbing a large amount of Water Element might strengthen his Martial Soul! It might even allow his Martial Soul to directly gain Water Attribute!

If his Martial Soul absorbed a large amount of Water Attribute in the future and could transform to master Water Attribute, Jerry would have far more options when choosing Soul Rings!
