Ch. 102Sea-Calming Divine Pearl, Black Tortoise Enters the West

Ancestral Dragon gave Zhunti the Dragon Clan’s twelve Sea Calming Pearls, completing the set of thirty-six, while Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti invited the Northern Sea Black Tortoise to return west with them. The Black Tortoise accepted their offer and settled beneath Mount Sumeru’s Four Symbols Banana Tree.

  • Ancestral Dragon explained that the Dragon Clan had inherited twelve Sea Calming Pearls and gifted them to Zhunti in hopes of forging ties with him, Xuande, and Jieyin.
  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti visited the Northern Sea Black Tortoise and invited it to accompany them to the West instead of returning to its lonely life in the Northern Sea.
  • The Black Tortoise accepted the invitation, and Ancestral Dragon held a farewell banquet before Xuande carried it west on the Destruction Black Lotus.
  • Xuande and the others searched the West for a suitable home for the Black Tortoise, but it rejected several places before they brought it to Mount Sumeru.
  • The Black Tortoise approved of the Four Symbols Banana Tree’s tranquil, stable surroundings and settled beneath it.

Ch. 103The Name of the Black Tortoise, The Way of Rules and Measurement

Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti named the Black Tortoise Northern Mystery, settled it beneath the Four Symbols Banana Tree, and entered seclusion after postponing plans for the Three Immortal Islands. Xuande later began refining the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler and explored its power to measure karma, merit, fortune, and affinity.

  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti named the Black Tortoise Northern Mystery, and it happily accepted the name and its new home beneath the Four Symbols Banana Tree.
  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti discussed placing the Three Immortal Islands in the West but agreed to wait until after their seclusion.
  • Xuande reassured Northern Mystery that they would return to talk with it, and Northern Mystery settled into sleep beneath the tree.
  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti entered seclusion to digest their gains and insights into the Three Talents of Heaven, Earth, and Man.
  • Xuande refined the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler and studied its rules for weighing karma, merit, fortune, and affinity.

Ch. 104Five-Element Dao, Perfecting the Good Corpse

Xuande fully refined the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler and comprehended the Five Elements through a Five-Needle Pine seed. Jieyin severed his Evil Corpse and advanced to Mid-Quasi-Saint, while Zhunti perfected his Good Corpse, severed his Evil Corpse, and also advanced to Mid-Quasi-Saint.

  • Xuande mastered the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler's runes of karma, merit, fortune, and affinity.
  • Xuande swallowed a Five-Needle Pine seed and comprehended the five elements and their cycles of generation and restraint.
  • Jieyin absorbed the Three Talents Dao insights, then used the Northern Profound Water Control Banner to sever his Evil Corpse and break through to Mid-Quasi-Saint.
  • Jieyin swallowed a Five-Needle Pine seed to consolidate his cultivation and gain a foundation in the Five Elements Dao.
  • Zhunti used four Sea-Calming Pearls to perfect his Good Corpse, then used twelve more to sever his Evil Corpse and advance to Mid-Quasi-Saint.
  • Zhunti reserved his remaining twelve Sea-Calming Pearls for severing his Obsession Corpse and swallowed a Five-Needle Pine seed to consolidate his cultivation.

Ch. 105Three Immortal Islands Settlement Plan, Message to Wuzhuang Temple

Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti planned to settle the Three Immortal Islands around Mount Sumeru to improve the West’s Spiritual Energy, and asked Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun to help. Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun set out from Wuzhuang Temple and neared Mount Sumeru.

  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti emerged from seclusion, and Jieyin and Zhunti had both advanced to the Mid-Quasi-Saint realm.
  • The three visited Northern Mystery beneath the Four Symbols Banana Tree, where he welcomed them and offered insight into their cultivation.
  • Xuande proposed arranging Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingzhou around Mount Sumeru as a grand Three Talents formation, and the three agreed to divide the islands according to their positions when they had broken the original formation.
  • Xuande sent Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun a message asking them to assist with settling the Three Immortal Islands, and he examined the islands and their spiritual roots inside the Creation Cauldron.
  • After receiving Xuande’s message at Wuzhuang Temple, Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun sealed the temple and hurried west toward Mount Sumeru.

Ch. 106Three Talents as the Framework, Four Symbols as the Foundation

Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti welcomed Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun to Mount Sumeru, where the group arranged the Three Immortal Islands around the mountain and combined their Three Talents formation with Hong Yun’s Four Symbols formation. As the new formation began drawing in Chaos Qi to replenish the West, heaven and earth suddenly shuddered.

  • Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun arrived at Mount Sumeru, where Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti welcomed them and revealed that Jieyin and Zhunti had reached mid-quasi-saint while Hong Yun had become an early quasi-sage.
  • Xuande introduced Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun to Northern Mystery, a late quasi-sage resting beneath the Four Symbols Banana Tree.
  • Xuande explained the plan to arrange Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingzhou around Mount Sumeru, with Zhenyuanzi guiding them using the Earth Scroll and Hong Yun building a Four Symbols formation.
  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti used their combined power to bring the Three Immortal Islands out of the Creation Cauldron, and Zhenyuanzi guided them into a triangle around Mount Sumeru.
  • Hong Yun activated the Innate Four Symbols Grand Formation, which merged with the islands’ Three Talents formation and began transforming Chaos Qi into spiritual energy for the Western Continent.
  • As the group admired the completed formation and anticipated the West’s revival, heaven and earth suddenly shuddered.

Ch. 107The West's Thank You Gift

After restoring the West and settling the Three Immortal Islands, Xuande, Jieyin, Zhunti, Zhenyuanzi, and Hongyun received Heavenly Dao merit. Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun left with spiritual-root materials to experiment with combining them, while Xuande began building his cultivation abode on Yingzhou Island.

  • The Heavenly Dao rewarded Xuande, Jieyin, Zhunti, Zhenyuanzi, and Hongyun with equal streams of merit for restoring the West and establishing the formations.
  • Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi told Xuande they wanted to experiment with combining Innate Spiritual Roots, inspired by their Enlightenment Tea Tree cuttings.
  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti explained the Innate Three Talents Grand Formation to Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun, deepening their understanding of the Three Talents.
  • Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti gathered branches, pinecones, and young Bitter Bamboo from the Three Immortal Islands and gave the materials to Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun for their experiments.
  • Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun departed for Wuzhuang Temple, while Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti planned their cultivation grounds on the islands.
  • Xuande chose a site beneath the Yellow Center Plum on Yingzhou Island and used Merit Golden Light to build a simple stone cave abode.

Ch. 108Establishing a Daoist Ground, Heading to Wuzhuang Temple

Xuande established a cultivation ground on Yingzhou Island and tried, unsuccessfully, to merge branches from several Innate Spiritual Roots. After learning that Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun had also made no progress, he traveled to Wuzhuang Temple to discuss a gentler approach with them.

  • Xuande completed his cultivation ground on Yingzhou Island while Jieyin and Zhunti built their own on Penglai Island and Fangzhang Island.
  • Xuande collected branches from the Innate Enlightenment Tea Tree, the Five-Needle Pine, and Bitter Bamboo to test whether their spiritual roots could be merged.
  • Xuande spent several years trying different methods to fuse the roots, but their powerful Origin Essences repelled one another.
  • Xuande contacted Zhenyuanzi and learned that he and Hongyun had likewise failed to merge spiritual roots, so Zhenyuanzi invited him to Wuzhuang Temple.
  • Xuande informed Jieyin and Zhunti of his plans, then traveled east to Longevity Mountain, where Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun welcomed him to Wuzhuang Temple.

Ch. 109All Means Exhausted, Nuwa and Houtu

Xuande, Zhenyuanzi, and Hong Yun partially fused branches from the Yellow Center Plum and Ginseng Fruit Tree, but the new spiritual root lacked vitality. Xuande left Wuzhuang Temple to seek Nuwa’s help and found her with Fuxi and Houtu at Buzhou Mountain.

  • Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun described how previous attempts to fuse Innate Spiritual Roots had failed because their Origin Essences repelled each other.
  • Xuande proposed nourishing branches together with merit power, Essence of Innate Wutu, and Three Light Divine Water while using three grand formations to break through the barrier between them.
  • Xuande, Zhenyuanzi, and Hong Yun fused a Yellow Center Plum branch with a Ginseng Fruit Tree branch, but the resulting half-finished spiritual root lacked vitality.
  • Xuande concluded that Nuwa’s Creation Dao might give the fused root spirituality and left Wuzhuang Temple to ask for her help.
  • Xuande arrived at Buzhou Mountain and found Nuwa, Fuxi, and Houtu together at their dwelling.

Ch. 110Fuxi and Houtu's Curiosity

Xuande traveled from Buzhou Mountain to Wuzhuang Temple with Nuwa, Fuxi, and Houtu to seek help restoring the spirit of the fused Yellow Center Plum and Ginseng Fruit Tree. Houtu proposed finding a natural balance between their Origin Essences, and the group arrived at Longevity Mountain as Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun continued protecting the fragile spiritual root.

  • Fuxi told Xuande that Wuzhen had climbed to the summit of Buzhou Mountain, then left for the east in good condition.
  • Xuande explained the fused spiritual root's lack of spirit and asked Nuwa to examine it at Wuzhuang Temple; Fuxi and Houtu joined them.
  • Xuande described how he, Zhenyuanzi, and Hongyun had fused the two spiritual roots using formations, spiritual fluids, and merit.
  • Houtu suggested that balancing the roots' Origin Essences might dissolve their barrier without damaging them, giving Xuande a new approach.
  • Xuande, Nuwa, Fuxi, and Houtu reached Longevity Mountain, where Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun were maintaining the spiritual root and sent Qingfeng and Mingyue to greet them.

Ch. 111A Brand-New Spiritual Root

Xuande, Nuwa, Fuxi, Houtu, Zhenyuanzi, and Hong Yun worked together to fuse the Yellow Center Plum and Ginseng Fruit Tree Origins into a new Innate Spiritual Root. After five thousand years, the tree awakened, and the group began considering its name.

  • Qingfeng and Mingyue received Xuande, Nuwa, Fuxi, and Houtu at Wuzhuang Temple and led them to the rear courtyard.
  • Nuwa, Fuxi, and Houtu examined the fused branch and found that a barrier still separated the two spiritual-root Origins, leaving it without spirituality.
  • Fuxi calculated that the Origins needed to fuse at a seven-to-three ratio, while Houtu planned to stabilize and guide the roots and Nuwa prepared to awaken their spirituality.
  • Xuande, Zhenyuanzi, and Hong Yun maintained the Three Talents Grand Formation as the six worked for five thousand years to dissolve the barrier and fuse the Origins.
  • Nuwa used the Creation Dao to awaken the grown tree, which became a new Innate Spiritual Root combining the Yellow Center Plum's vitality and the Ginseng Fruit Tree's longevity.
  • Xuande said the new spiritual root needed a name, and Fuxi began to speak.

Ch. 112The Heaven-Defying Effects of the Yellow Ginseng Fruit

Xuande, Zhenyuanzi, Nuwa, Fuxi, Hong Yun, and Houtu successfully fused the Yellow Center Plum and Ginseng Fruit Tree into the Yellow Ginseng Divine Tree, whose first fruits were enhanced by Heavenly Dao merit. After dividing and studying the fruits, the six discussed how to make spiritual-root fusion easier, and Fuxi proposed an idea.

  • The six named the fused spiritual root the Yellow Ginseng Divine Tree, and Fuxi deduced that it would bear eighteen fruits with powers of cultivation, longevity, and Dao comprehension.
  • Xuande proposed planting the tree in Wuzhuang Temple and nourishing it with formations and seals of earth and creation power; the six agreed and built the formation together.
  • The formations shortened the tree’s maturation to nine thousand years, during which the six remained at Wuzhuang Temple and watched it grow.
  • When the tree matured, Heavenly Dao merit descended upon it and strengthened its eighteen fruits, which the six picked and divided equally.
  • Fuxi examined the fruits and found that they could create Grand Unity Golden Immortals, strengthen higher-level cultivators, heal innate Dao wounds, and rebuild damaged bodies.
  • Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun observed that fusing spiritual roots had demanded too many resources and years to repeat easily, and Fuxi said he had an idea.

Ch. 113Fusion Array Disks, and the Possibility of the Witch Clan Developing Primordial Spirits

Fuxi, Xuande, Nuwa, Houtu, Zhenyuanzi, and Hong Yun devised and inscribed six array disks to aid spiritual-root fusion, then shared tea and discussed the Dao at Wuzhuang Temple. As Xuande, Fuxi, Nuwa, and Houtu traveled to Buzhou Mountain, Nuwa proposed that the Three Pure Ones’ Origin Essence might help the Witch Clan develop Primordial Spirits, leaving Houtu to consider how she could obtain it.

  • Fuxi proposed fusing acquired spiritual roots before reversing them to innateness, and Xuande suggested using the Creation Cauldron to remove fixed Dao imprints before fusion.
  • Zhenyuanzi proposed inscribing their combined methods into array disks, and the six spent a hundred years making six identical disks that could aid spiritual-root fusion.
  • The six drank Ginseng Fruit tea and discussed the Dao at Wuzhuang Temple before Xuande, Fuxi, Nuwa, and Houtu departed for Buzhou Mountain.
  • During the journey, Nuwa told Houtu that the Three Pure Ones’ Origin Essence might break the barrier preventing the Witch Clan from developing Primordial Spirits.
  • Houtu worried that the Three Pure Ones might refuse or demand a price, and she said she needed time to consider the matter.

Ch. 114Xuande's Proposal, Houtu's Decisiveness

Xuande proposed using the Creation Cauldron to return Houtu’s blood essence to its origin and uncover why the Witch Clan could not give birth to Primordial Spirits. Houtu agreed, and the process revealed Turbid Qi and Killing Intent fused into her blood essence, which Xuande stripped away as the experiment reached its crucial stage.

  • Xuande reasoned that the Creation Cauldron’s Return to Origin power might reveal what prevented the Witch Clan from producing Primordial Spirits.
  • Xuande offered his method to Houtu, and Nuwa and Fuxi promised to help guard the process; Houtu agreed to provide a drop of her Ancestral Witch blood essence.
  • Houtu extracted a drop of blood essence and placed it in Xuande’s Creation Cauldron as he began returning it to its origin.
  • Over several centuries, Xuande stripped away impurities from the blood essence and discovered that Turbid Qi and Killing Intent were fused into it.
  • Xuande removed the Turbid Qi and Killing Intent, leaving pure golden blood essence containing only power and vitality, while the separated impurities floated in the cauldron.

Ch. 115The Influence of Turbid Qi and Killing Intent on the Witch Clan

Fuxi, Nuwa, and Xuande discovered that the turbid qi and Killing Intent fused into the Witch Clan’s Origin Essence granted strength but prevented Primordial Spirits from forming. After Houtu’s attempts to find a way forward failed, Xuande wondered whether the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler could distinguish and separate those forces from her Origin Essence.

  • Fuxi deduced that turbid qi and Killing Intent had been fused with the Witch Clan’s Blood Essence since creation, granting physical strength and combat power while suppressing Primordial Spirits.
  • Nuwa confirmed that her Dao of Creation could not separate the fused forces, and Xuande determined that Return to Origin only worked on essence blood outside the body.
  • Houtu absorbed the purified drop of essence blood, but it became tainted again when it merged with the rest of her bloodline.
  • Houtu proposed Returning all her blood to its origin, but Fuxi, Nuwa, and Xuande warned that her heart and body would restore the turbid qi and Killing Intent, while extracting all her blood could kill her.
  • Xuande considered the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler and wondered whether its Dao of laws and measurement could define the boundaries between Houtu’s Origin Essence, turbid qi, and Killing Intent, then separate them.

Ch. 116Houtu's Trust, the Budding of the Primordial Spirit

Xuande used the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler to separate the turbid qi and Killing Intent from Houtu’s Origin Essence, with her trust allowing him to work safely for three thousand years. Houtu’s cultivation and physical strength declined, but she awakened a faint sprout of a Primordial Spirit, leaving open the possibility that the Witch Clan could develop one.

  • Xuande proposed using the Primordial Heaven-Measuring Ruler’s Dao of rules and measurement to separate Houtu’s turbid qi and Killing Intent, and Houtu agreed to trust him with her Origin Essence.
  • Xuande spent five hundred years marking the boundaries between Houtu’s Origin Essence, turbid qi, and Killing Intent, then began drawing the unwanted forces out with merit.
  • Over three thousand years, Xuande extracted all the turbid qi and Killing Intent from Houtu and stored them in his sleeve.
  • Houtu awoke after another hundred years and found that her cultivation had fallen to the peak of the Daluo Golden Immortal stage, though her Origin Essence was pure.
  • Houtu discovered a faint sprout of a Primordial Spirit in her sea of consciousness.

Ch. 117The Yellow Ginseng Fruit's Effects and a Journey to the Witch Clan

Houtu formed a Primordial Spirit with Xuande's help, then strengthened it by eating a Yellow Ginseng Fruit and listening to Dao teachings from Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa. She invited the three to visit the Witch Tribe, where they arrived as an interruption began at the settlement entrance.

  • Nuwa and Fuxi confirmed that Xuande had helped Houtu form a stable Primordial Spirit, and Xuande suggested she nourish it with a Yellow Ginseng Fruit.
  • Houtu ate a Yellow Ginseng Fruit, and over four hundred years her Primordial Spirit grew to the Grand Unity Golden Immortal level.
  • Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa each expounded their Dao for a thousand years, helping Houtu stabilize her Primordial Spirit and deepen her understanding of the Great Dao.
  • Houtu thanked the three Daoists and invited them to visit the Witch Tribe so she could tell the other Ancestral Witches about her new Primordial Spirit and their kindness.
  • Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa accepted Houtu's invitation and flew with her to the Witch Clan settlement at the foot of Buzhou Mountain.
  • Houtu and the three Daoists landed at the settlement entrance, where the guards saluted her, and she was about to lead them inside when something suddenly happened.

Ch. 118The Ancestral Witches' recognition and gratitude

The Eleven Ancestral Witches confronted Houtu after sensing that her cultivation had fallen, but she explained that she had developed a Primordial Spirit with help from Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa. After learning that turbid qi and baleful qi had blocked the Witch Clan from developing Primordial Spirits, they thanked the three and invited them to a feast.

  • The Eleven Ancestral Witches surrounded Houtu and Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa, suspecting the visitors had harmed her.
  • Houtu told her brothers that she had developed a Primordial Spirit, and the Ancestral Witches examined her and confirmed it was true.
  • Houtu and Xuande explained that turbid qi and baleful qi had prevented the Witch Clan from developing Primordial Spirits, and Xuande warned that repeating Houtu's dangerous process would not be easy.
  • Dijiang and the other Ancestral Witches apologized to Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa and promised the Witch Clan would repay their kindness.
  • Dijiang invited the three visitors to a grand feast, and they followed him into the settlement.

Ch. 119The Witch Clan's Gift of Thanks

The Witch Clan held a lavish feast for Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa to thank them for helping Houtu give birth to a Primordial Spirit. When the three prepared to leave, Dijiang and the other Ancestral Witches gave them three high-grade Innate Spiritual Treasures as tokens of gratitude, which they accepted.

  • Dijiang and Zhurong arranged a grand feast, serving treasured Spiritual Wine, Spirit Fruits, dragon livers, phoenix marrow, and kirin blood to Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa.
  • Nuwa sat with Houtu and Xuanming, while Xuande and Fuxi drank and spoke with the Ancestral Witches as the Witch Clan celebrated through the night.
  • At dawn, Dijiang and the other Ancestral Witches urged the three guests to stay, but Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa declined because they had matters to attend to.
  • Dijiang presented Xuande, Fuxi, and Nuwa with three high-grade Innate Spiritual Treasures as thanks for helping Houtu, and the three accepted them.

Ch. 120Wuzhen Returns with Yuan Hong and Wuzhiqi

Xuande returned to Mount Sumeru and told Jieyin and Zhunti about the successful spiritual-root fusion and Houtu’s new Primordial Spirit. Tens of thousands of years later, Wuzhen returned with Yuan Hong and Wuzhiqi, whose inexplicable kinship Xuande understood as the three shared the Chaos Demon Ape’s origin, and he began to explain it.

  • Xuande reunited with Jieyin and Zhunti on Mount Sumeru and described the Yellow Ginseng Divine Tree, its fruit, and the six formation discs used for spiritual-root fusion.
  • Xuande told Jieyin and Zhunti how Fuxi, Houtu, and Nuwa had helped Houtu give birth to a Primordial Spirit.
  • Wuzhen returned to Mount Sumeru after tens of thousands of years of travel, having advanced to the Mid-Stage Grand Unity Golden Immortal level, and introduced Yuan Hong and Wuzhiqi to Xuande.
  • Xuande recognized Yuan Hong as the Long-armed Gibbon and Wuzhiqi as the Red-rumped Horse Monkey, then welcomed both to Mount Sumeru.
  • Wuzhen, Yuan Hong, and Wuzhiqi told Xuande they felt an unusual closeness to one another, and Xuande began explaining that they shared the Chaos Demon Ape’s origin.

Ch. 121The Four Monkeys of Havoc: Jieyin and Zhunti Take Disciples

Xuande revealed that Wuzhen, Yuan Hong, and Wuzhiqi were three of the four monkeys formed from the Chaos Demon Ape’s primordial spirit, then arranged for Jieyin and Zhunti to take Yuan Hong and Wuzhiqi as disciples. The chapter ended with Xuande preparing to forge weapons for the two new disciples using Treasure Distribution Cliff and materials from Jieyin and Zhunti.

  • Xuande identified Wuzhen as the Six-eared Macaque, Yuan Hong as the Long-armed Gibbon, and Wuzhiqi as the Red-rumped Horse Monkey, all incarnations of the Chaos Demon Ape’s primordial spirit.
  • Xuande reclaimed the Twelve-Petal World-Purifying White Lotus and told Wuzhen about developments in the West during his travels.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti arrived at Mount Sumeru and welcomed Yuan Hong and Wuzhiqi, whose gifts and foundations impressed them.
  • Xuande suggested that Jieyin and Zhunti take Yuan Hong and Wuzhiqi as disciples, and both young men accepted their masters’ invitations.
  • Xuande proposed forging weapons for the two disciples, and Jieyin and Zhunti offered Innate Goldstone and Innate Water Jade as materials.
  • Xuande brought out Treasure Distribution Cliff to use as the main material for forging the weapons.

Ch. 122Sky-Piercing White Jade Pillar, Sea-Supporting Purple-Gold Beam

Xuande forged the Sea-Supporting Purple-Gold Beam and Sky-Piercing White Jade Pillar for Wuzhiqi and Yuan Hong, then sent the three monkeys to cultivate the Five-Element Dao and visit Northern Mystery. The monkeys began their studies beneath the Enlightenment Tea Mother Tree and grew close to Northern Mystery by patiently listening to his ancient stories.

  • Xuande used Treasure Distribution Cliff, Innate Goldstone, and Innate Water Jade in the Creation Cauldron to forge two staffs.
  • Wuzhiqi received the Sea-Supporting Purple-Gold Beam, and Yuan Hong received the Sky-Piercing White Jade Pillar; they tested their weapons and showed their power.
  • Jieyin gave Five-Needle Pine nuts to Wuzhen, Yuan Hong, and Wuzhiqi to help them contemplate the Five-Element Dao.
  • Xuande directed the three monkeys to cultivate beneath the Enlightenment Tea Mother Tree and visit Northern Mystery beneath the Four Symbols Banana Tree.
  • The three monkeys cultivated with the pine nuts and patiently listened as Northern Mystery recounted ancient events, gradually becoming his companions.

Ch. 123Plans for the West's development and the Demon Clan's rise

Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti agreed to delay recruiting disciples until the West had grown stronger, while Dijun and Taiyi advanced the Demon Clan by breaking through to the mid-Quasi-Saint stage and bringing Kunpeng into their ranks. The chapter ended with Kunpeng recognized as the Demon Clan's teacher and a feast ordered in his honor.

  • Xuande proposed that the West begin recruiting talented cultivators, but Jieyin and Zhunti persuaded him to wait until its foundations were stronger.
  • Dijun and Taiyi surveyed the Demon Clan's growing power and used its fortune to break through from early Quasi-Sage to mid-Quasi-Saint.
  • Dijun went to the Northern Darkness and pressured Kunpeng to join the Demon Clan as its teacher.
  • Kunpeng accepted Dijun's offer and returned with him to the Sun Star.
  • Dijun announced Kunpeng's new position to the assembled Demon Clan, and Taiyi was ordered to prepare a grand feast.

Ch. 124Kunpeng assessed the mighty figures of the Primordial Wilderness

After Kunpeng joined the Demon Clan, its fortune helped him break through to the mid-Quasi-Saint stage. He advised Dijun on which Primordial Wilderness powers to approach, then set out for Wuzhuang Temple to invite Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun.

  • At a banquet on the Sun Star, Kunpeng absorbed the Demon Clan's fortune and broke through from the early to the mid-Quasi-Saint stage.
  • Dijun asked Kunpeng which mighty figures the Demon Clan should recruit, and Kunpeng ruled out the Three Pure Ones, the western trio, Minghe, Randeng, and the King Father of the East for various reasons.
  • Kunpeng recommended Nuwa, Fuxi, Zhenyuanzi, and Hong Yun as potential allies, naming Nuwa the highest priority and warning Dijun not to force anyone to join.
  • Dijun agreed that Kunpeng should first approach Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun, promising them standing equal to Kunpeng if they joined.
  • Kunpeng cautioned Dijun to accept a refusal graciously, then left the Golden Crow Palace and flew toward Wuzhuang Temple as Dijun and Taiyi saw him off.

Ch. 125The Demon Clan's foundation, the Thirty-Three Heavens

Kunpeng failed to recruit Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun into the Demon Clan, then discovered the Thirty-Three Heavens with Dijun and Taiyi atop Buzhou Mountain. Dijun claimed the realm for the Demon Clan and began transforming it into the Heavenly Court, with Lingxiao Palace at its center.

  • Kunpeng visited Wuzhuang Temple and invited Zhenyuanzi and Hong Yun to join the Demon Clan, but they declined because they valued their freedom and avoided conflict.
  • Kunpeng returned to the Sun Star and told Dijun that the recruitment had failed; Taiyi then reported sensing a realm forming atop Buzhou Mountain.
  • Dijun, Taiyi, Kunpeng, Bai Ze, and Jimeng entered the hidden Thirty-Three Heavens, and Dijun declared that the realm would become the Demon Clan's Heavenly Court.
  • Kunpeng proposed how to organize the heavens, and Dijun ordered the Demon Clan to mobilize its resources and build the court.
  • The Demon Clan constructed the four heavenly gates, military and marshal residences, and facilities across the Thirty-Three Heavens.
  • Dijun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng established their domains in the highest three heavens, while Dijun made Lingxiao Palace the Heavenly Court's main hall.

Ch. 126The Founding of the Heavenly Court and the Reactions of the Great Powers of the Primordial Wilderness

Dijun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng formally established the Demon Clan’s Heavenly Court in the Thirty-Three Heavens and proclaimed their claim to rule the Three Realms. The Witch Clan prepared to strengthen itself, while other powers dismissed the new court or, like King Father of the East’s Immortal Court, braced for its possible advance.

  • Dijun announced the Heavenly Court’s founding, and Taiyi and Kunpeng declared their roles as Eastern Emperor and Demon Master as the Demon Clan’s fortune surged.
  • Dijiang restrained Zhurong from attacking the Heavenly Court, then ordered the Witch Clan to train, gather resources, and prepare for war after Houtu warned that conflict was inevitable.
  • Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian judged the Heavenly Court insignificant beside their prospects of becoming Sages, while Xuande, Jieyin, and Zhunti chose to focus on cultivating and building up the West.
  • Randeng, Minghe, and West Queen Mother each treated the Heavenly Court’s founding with indifference and continued their own pursuits.
  • King Father of the East ordered the Immortal Court to strengthen its defenses without provoking the Heavenly Court, but some followers left Purple Mansion Continent and weakened his forces.
