The Essence, Qi, and Spirit Gu worms were the easiest to deal with among the three.
The most formidable aspect of this Gu worm was its robust physique and immense strength. Donghua observed the Gu worm battling the golden dragon and estimated its physical strength to be at the mid-Quasi-Saint level.
With a plan in mind, Donghua immediately took action, releasing the Jingyang Bell and transforming into his Evil Corpse Jingyang to block the Spirit Gu worm's attack.
His main body flew out, fully unleashing the Dragon Head Golden Staff. The staff itself transformed into a golden dragon, merging with the existing one, and instantly morphed into a colossal, purplish-gold dragon.
This was the Dragon Head Golden Staff's most potent state after fusing with the Purple Mansion Destiny and Fortune and the Spiritual Treasure.
The purplish-gold dragon soared into the sky, directly coiling around the Essence Gu worm.
Despite its immense strength, the entangled Gu worm couldn't break free from its bonds.
Donghua seized the opportunity and unleashed Heavenly Dharma Elephant Earth. The Pure Yang Sword also grew in size. With the sky-shattering might of Dragon Subduing Tiger Taming, he struck at the Gu worm.
By the time King Pan reacted, it was too late. The sword strike pierced directly through the Essence Gu worm.
Donghua, not entirely at ease, stirred the Pure Yang Sword again, completely shattering the Essence Gu worm into pieces.
After being shattered, the Gu worm dispersed into vast amounts of Essence, Qi, and Spirit. Donghua immediately took out a gourd-like Spiritual Treasure and collected the scattered essence.
The moment the Essence Gu worm was slain, King Pan could no longer withstand the backlash damage from its death. He spat out a mouthful of Dao Blood, which fell to the ground.
However, King Pan's previous attack was still in effect. Donghua had no time to rescue anyone and instantly teleported, using his body to block the attack.
Donghua didn't consider himself a purely good person, but Qianyu had been targeted by King Pan because he had warned him. If Qianyu were to perish like this, his Dao Heart would be unsettled.
The story thus returned to the opening scene.
This sword strike was indeed difficult to endure, with waves of pain coursing through his body.
This Power of Tribulation was extremely difficult to heal, as if struck by a heavenly tribulation, and it also carried a potent poison.
If this strike had landed on Qianyu, he would have surely died.
Donghua used Pure Yang Power to seal the circulating Power of Tribulation within his body, then leaped into the air, a Great Seal appearing in his hand.
It was the Seal Heaven Seal, a Spiritual Treasure gifted by Dao Ancestor Hongjun at the Purple Mansion banquet in the past.
Donghua had yet to discover the uses of this Spiritual Treasure, but it was incredibly durable and could absorb Primordial Spirit Power, making it perfect for dealing with the Spirit Gu worm.
In the sky, Donghua's Evil Corpse Jingyang was locked in a fierce battle with the Spirit Gu worm. The Jingyang Bell itself was a Spiritual Treasure that focused on the Primordial Spirit, and the Spirit Gu worm couldn't do much against it.
Donghua condensed his Pure Yang Magical Power onto the Seal Heaven Seal and, seizing an opportunity, hurled it forward.
The strike did not miss; it directly hit the Spirit Gu worm's forehead.
"It really works."
The Spirit Gu worm staggered, clearly severely injured, no longer possessing its former ferocity.
Donghua did not hesitate and struck again with the seal.
With another blow, the Spirit Gu worm's form began to shrink.
He raised the seal to strike again, but this time, he couldn't bring it down. King Pan, from a distance, disregarded the physical injuries from the Gu worm's death.
With sheer willpower, he raised the King Pan Banner to block the attack and then attempted to recall the Spirit Gu worm.
But how could Donghua give him such an opportunity? He tossed the Seal Heaven Seal to his Evil Corpse Jingyang and met King Pan head-on with his sword.
Both were injured at this point, but King Pan's injuries were more severe, revealing the significant drawbacks of the cultivation method where three flowers transform into three Gu worms.
While the Gu worms were their strength, they were also their weakness.
Truly, the very thing that made them strong was also their downfall.
Donghua and King Pan clashed again. This time, however, Donghua wasn't attacking; he was merely stalling King Pan, quietly awaiting the outcome of his Evil Corpse's battle.
Indeed, after a short while, the Spirit Gu worm, under the relentless assault of the Evil Corpse, grew smaller and its body began to turn transparent.
Seeing this, King Pan was filled with fear and rage. This time, he truly felt the threat of annihilation.
He immediately spoke to Donghua, "Fellow Daoist East King, I apologize for today's events. I am willing to offer the High-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure in my possession as compensation. Shall we let this matter end here today?"
Hearing King Pan's words, Donghua sighed inwardly, "These old fellows truly know when to let go and when to hold on, abandoning all pretense of dignity."
But he remained silent, instead accelerating his attack.
King Pan grew anxious. If the fight continued, his Spirit Gu worm would surely perish.
"Fellow Daoist, what are your conditions for ceasing this conflict? Name them."
This time, Donghua did not mock him. He spoke with icy resolve, "Fellow Daoist King Pan, neither of us is a three-year-old child. With matters having reached this point, how can there still be room for reconciliation?"
Due to memories from his previous life, he had always been a kind person. However, his experiences in the Primordial World during this period had taught him that when it was time to cut off the weeds and eliminate the roots, one must absolutely not be soft-hearted.
No matter how beautiful the Primordial World was, it was ultimately a world where humans preyed on each other.
Since karma had already been established between them, his opponent could only die. Who could blame Donghua for being afraid of death and not wanting to die?
Let alone a High-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure, even a top-tier Innate Spiritual Treasure wouldn't make him stop. Moreover, if he killed his opponent, wouldn't these Spiritual Treasures still be his?
Seeing that his attempts to mediate were fruitless, King Pan no longer held out hope. He spat out several more mouthfuls of Dao Blood onto the King Pan Banner.
The Power of Tribulation he cultivated manifested, transforming into a river of laws that enveloped him. Within the river were mixed various other laws.
"He's going all out!"
Donghua had already envisioned this scene when he refused.
With the Dragon Head Golden Staff in his left hand and the Pure Yang Sword in his right, the Pure Yang Great Dao slowly unfolded.
The two began a battle that was simple and unadorned, like two mortals sparring in martial arts.
Yet, the danger within was immense.
This was no children's game; it was a clash of Great Daos. A single misstep could lead to the ruin of one's Dao and death. Furthermore, failure in a Great Dao battle meant losing even the chance for reincarnation.
At one point during their clash, King Pan's body suddenly stiffened, his mind seemingly unable to process, and he froze.
It turned out that while the two were fighting, the Spirit Gu in the distance had already been smashed to pieces by the Seal Heaven Seal. Its insectile form was ethereal, flickering in and out of existence, and finally, at a certain moment, it was shattered and dispersed.
"The Spirit Gu is dead!"
Donghua would not let such a golden opportunity pass. The Pure Yang Sword's attacks grew stronger and stronger, the Pure Yang Great Dao manifesting on the sword, carrying infinite power, and piercing directly through King Pan's head.
After one strike, Donghua remained uneasy. He continued to swing his sword several more times, directly dismembering King Pan.
Following that, attacks of Spiritual Power such as Pure Yang Divine Thunder, Pure Yang Divine Light, and Pure Yang Divine Fire rained down upon King Pan.
The main strategy was to be thorough!
The next moment, King Pan's vast Great Dao cracked open. The Dao of Tribulation returned to Heaven and Earth, causing the sky to change. Dark clouds gathered, and thunder rumbled.
Suddenly, a torrential downpour began, as if Heaven itself was weeping for the fall of this Great Power of Heaven and Earth.
With King Pan dead, Donghua's mind finally relaxed. He used the Dragon Head Golden Staff to support his body and collected all the Spiritual Treasures and various other treasures that had fallen to the ground.
The Qi Gu, suppressed by the White Lotus in the distance, was like a headless fly, bewildered.
Donghua painstakingly unsealed the White Lotus, used a gourd to collect the Qi Gu, and then recalled the White Lotus into his body to suppress his injuries.
Beside him, Crown Prince Changqin helped a few people to their feet. Everyone on the mountaintop staggered, unable to stand steady, yet they all burst into laughter.
Their laughter was so hearty and joyful, so full of heroic spirit.
