Background / History

Ning Rongrong is the daughter of Ning Fengzhi and the pampered little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Wanting to attend Shrek Academy against her father's wishes, she runs away to Soto City and meets Tang Ling, Tang San, and Xue Qingxi. Tang Ling persuades her to investigate the academy before enrolling; after learning of its isolated village location, minimal facilities, and two-teacher faculty, Rongrong instead enters Soto Intermediate Soul Master Academy with them. 28 29

She stays at Tang Ling's Soto residence and quickly becomes attached to her. Sword Douluo later arranges for her to study under Tang Ling beyond a single training trip, with Ning Fengzhi's approval. 30 31 32

During training in the Star Dou Great Forest, Rongrong overcomes her fear of the swamp and successfully practices evasion against Bursting Sun Flowers with her speed support skill. She befriends Zhu Zhuqing and joins Tang San, Xue Qingxi, and Zhu Zhuqing in forming the Soto Academy Spirit Profound Team. 33 34 36

At the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Tang Ling gives her Aromatic Silk Beauty, which mutates her Martial Soul into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda. Recognizing both the value of the herb to her sect and Tang Ling's support, Rongrong voluntarily asks to become Tang Ling's disciple. 46 49 50
