Background

Ling Tian was a 21st-century transmigrator who arrived in the Primordial World during the Dragon-Han Tribulation. When the God-Tier Selection System offered him the choice to devour Yuan Feng, become her fetus, or undergo random rebirth, he chose to enter Yuan Feng's womb in order to avoid the tribulation and pursue the Chaos Green Lotus. 1

His initial plan was purely pragmatic: use Yuan Feng and the Phoenix Clan as shelter while he cultivated in safety. After witnessing Yuan Feng resolve to protect him despite believing his origins were poor, he began to regard her as his mother and decided to alter her fate rather than merely exploit her protection. 3

Ling Tian's main body remained in Yuan Feng's womb for much of the story, where the Chaos Green Lotus, Chaos Bead, spiritual roots, and Nine Revolutions Divine Art steadily elevated his foundation. His avatars and Incarnation Beyond the Self bodies allowed him to travel, fight, make alliances, and influence the Primordial World while his true body continued cultivating. 26 44 67

Ling Tian is defined by calculated caution.
