• Taiqing Sect is divided into thirteen peaks. Its disciples are ranked as Outer Sect, Inner Sect, True Disciple, and Core Disciple 1 6.

Grotto-Heaven Forbidden Zone

Taiqing Sect’s founding, growth, and continued strength are tied to a concealed Grotto-Heaven. Mo Xingjian describes it as the basis upon which the modern sect was established, while the sect’s elders have repeatedly attempted to obtain its hidden resources through cultivation breakthroughs 15.

Knowledge of the Grotto-Heaven is treated as an existential secret. Outsiders covet it, and sect members who learn too much may face memory erasure; access to the Forbidden Zone was historically restricted to successive Sect Leaders and Peak Lords 15 453.

• The Forbidden Zone contains a Gravity Zone, Blood River, ancient tree, and multiple coffins 236 394.
• Six coffins are held beneath the ancient tree’s restraint 394.

History

Rise of Zhou Qing

Zhou Qing’s achievements transformed Taiqing Sect’s standing. After gaining fame in the Five Sects War, contributing to the Azure Mist Mountain crisis, and exposing hostile formations, he became the youngest Transformation Spirit Realm cultivator among the younger generation. The sect formally named him Little Sect Leader upon his return to Spirit Skull Mountain 232.

Cao Zhengyang later publicly identified Zhou Qing as the sect’s future helmsman and accepted personal responsibility for supporting his strategic decisions 282.

Conflict with the Five Sects

Taiqing Sect was infiltrated by Azure Flame Dao Palace through Gao Xuan, who had been planted within the sect at considerable cost. The infiltrators intended to destabilize Taiqing Sect by assassinating Jade Clarity Peak Lord Tong Min and creating internal panic 96.

Nangong Xiong Ba’s Assault

Nangong Xiong Ba, a Severing Spirit Realm expert, attacked Taiqing Sect to avenge Nangong clansmen killed by Zhou Qing under the identity of Chicken Young Master. He overwhelmed the sect’s defensive formation and severely injured Cao Zhengyang 354 355.

The sect survived through the intervention of Lu Yuanzhi and Lu Yuanjiu, both Severing Spirit Realm experts, and Canglong Zhenren. Their combined defense forced Nangong Xiong Ba to retreat 355 357.

Decline and Relocation

Despite its apparent prosperity, Taiqing Sect began declining roughly a century before its disappearance. Azure Feather Immortal Sect’s four Grand Elders died of old age, followed by former Azure Flame Dao Palace experts and Taiqing Sect’s own Grand Elders. Duanmu Shu later died after a failed attempt to reach the Severing Spirit Realm 453.

The Xuan Yuan Imperial Family increasingly infiltrated the sect in search of Zhou Qing’s secret technique for temporarily raising cultivation. With annihilation imminent, Cao Zhengyang reopened the Forbidden Zone for the Lu sisters in hopes of strengthening the sect’s remaining foundation 453.

Before its relocation, the sect’s leaders had already prepared a tinder plan: most disciples were dispersed through teleportation arrays to allied sects so that its inheritance could survive a catastrophe 394. The ancient tree ultimately transported the entire remaining sect away before its enemies arrived 453 454.
