Background / History

Second Uncle entered the Taiqing Sect alongside Mo Xingjian and several future Peak Lords. Clever, talented, and exceptionally well-liked, he was once considered by the previous Sect Leader as a potential successor. During an escort mission, he was reportedly ambushed and killed, body and soul extinguished. Two years later, another sect exposed the truth: he had faked his death after infiltrating numerous sects under different faces and names to steal cultivation methods. At least nine sect leaders had intended to groom him as a successor before each identity met an apparent “accidental” death. 14

Despite his thefts, his former peers remembered him with resentment mixed with affection. He possessed unusual charisma, maintained excellent relationships with fellow disciples, and attracted the admiration of many women in every sect he entered. After abandoning an identity, however, he generally severed all ties and refused to become involved in that sect's future affairs. 14 138 231

He reappeared before Zhou Qing as a spirit within a broken bowl retrieved from the Millstone Key. Calling himself “Second Uncle,” he stole a Top-Grade Water Attribute Spirit Stone from the Taiqing Sect treasury, gave it to Zhou Qing, and challenged him to identify him later. 14

Over time, he became Zhou Qing's most important outside mentor.
