Background / History

Zhou Qing began as the fourth disciple of Mo Xingjian of Little Spirit Peak. At nineteen, he was accused of spying on female disciples while they bathed; the Discipline Hall released him for lack of evidence. During the incident, he awakened the innate skill Reduce Presence, which made others subconsciously overlook him. 1

Before his rise, Zhou Qing’s Golden Core was forcibly removed by Qian Dafu. A strand of mutated Yin Yang Qi prevented him from becoming crippled or dying, becoming the foundation for his later recovery and cultivation path. 239 416

He rapidly advanced from Qi Condensation to Foundation Establishment after refining Spirit Hidden Worms and later absorbed a Top-Grade Water Attribute Spirit Stone in the Flame Spirit Blood Pool. His master eventually learned that Zhou Qing had achieved Heavenly Dao Foundation Establishment and provided the Illusory Realm Dharma Appearance to help conceal his true cultivation. 3 6 15 111

During an expedition into the Grotto-Heaven, Zhou Qing encountered the spirit Erdaye, whom he came to call “Second Uncle.” Although Erdaye initially deceived him and stole from the Taiqing Sect treasury, he repeatedly guided Zhou Qing toward major opportunities, including Yin Yang Qi cultivation, array studies, and Inscription-Level Divine Powers. 14 43 416

Zhou Qing obtained the Yin Yang Art, a cultivation method tailored to Yin Yang Qi—the highest-ranked Heavenly Dao Energy—and later refined Golden Winged Great Peng Essence Blood to inherit the Emperor Radiance Scripture. 95 167 171

His Four Flowers Gathered on the Crown phenomenon attracted widespread attention. He continued to cultivate discreetly while becoming a renowned figure in the Eastern Region through the Five Sects conflict, the Azure Mist Mountain crisis, and his formation expertise. 124 189 232

After reaching the Transformation Spirit Realm, Zhou Qing initially declined the Taiqing Sect leadership position, believing himself inexperienced. Cao Zhengyang instead appointed him Little Sect Leader, a role Zhou Qing accepted to preserve the Sect Leader’s dignity and answer the sect’s expectations. 232

Personality

Zhou Qing prefers to remain unnoticed, often treating attention as a liability rather than an honor. His early efforts to cultivate Reduce Presence were driven by a desire to avoid trouble, overhear useful information, and earn Ignorance Points. 2 31

He is cautious with secrets and reluctant to expose his full strength. He concealed information about the Broken Sword, the Grotto-Heaven, his Heavenly Dao Foundation Establishment, and his cultivation progress when disclosure could endanger himself, the Old Hen, or Taiqing Sect. 72 86 111

Despite his evasive tendencies, Zhou Qing is deeply loyal to Taiqing Sect and those close to him. He shares valuable cultivation resources with Yan Xiaohu, contributes Spirit Stones toward the sect-protecting array, and takes responsibility when the sect or its allies are threatened. 256 293 392

His growth makes him increasingly decisive and ruthless toward enemies. After learning of the destruction of the Azure Feather Immortal Sect, he resolves to pursue revenge against the Yan Family and eliminates hostile cultivators without hesitation. 456 457
