Background

Shirozumi identifies Sasuke to Itachi as a future “Shadow of Support” and shows him an image of Sasuke possessing the Rinnegan. This information persuades Itachi to assist Sasuke’s growth rather than merely dictate his future. 8

After witnessing Kakashi’s defeat by Itachi, Sasuke becomes focused on strengthening his Sharingan. Shirozumi tells him that the Sharingan evolves through intense emotional fluctuations, reveals that Sasuke carries Indra’s reincarnated chakra, and explains that combining it with Naruto’s Asura chakra can lead to the Sage of Six Paths’ eyes. Sasuke chooses the nonviolent method proposed for obtaining Naruto’s chakra rather than harming him. 12

During the Chūnin Exams, Sasuke confronts Orochimaru despite fearing death and receives Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal. He later uses Raikiri against Gaara, provoking Gaara’s partial transformation into Shukaku. 50 65

Personality

Sasuke is intensely goal-oriented and readily absorbs information that can advance his power. While Shirozumi explains the Sharingan’s history and ultimate evolution, Sasuke ignores Naruto and Sakura completely and listens more seriously than he ever did in the Academy. 12

He has strong combat intuition and is portrayed as more tactically perceptive than Naruto in direct combat, even when weaker overall. 306 His later use of Tenko, Void Sight, and Amenotejikara shows an analytical approach to both reconnaissance and experimentation. 313 383 384
