Background

Yu accompanied Emperor Luo from the beginning of the emperor’s rise. Emperor Luo later established Constant Source Summit, where one of Yu’s sub-consciousnesses serves as trial guardian. The guardian’s identity was absent from the Constant Guard’s records until it revealed its name to Lin Yi 597.

Abilities & Limitations

Trial guardianship

• Oversees trials at Constant Source Summit. Records describe the guardian sometimes conceding voluntarily, speaking with challengers it favors, and occasionally revealing secrets of the Imperial Era 597.
• Is a sub-consciousness, not Yu’s main body. Its responsibility is limited to Constant Source Summit 597 598.

Knowledge

• Receives updates from Yu’s main body once per Universal Epoch. It learned about the Black Mist Sea and Black Death Absolute Domain from later trial participants 598.
• Does not know why the Deathly Silence Qi suddenly erupted; events between updates may never have reached it 598.

Relationships

• Emperor Luo — Yu’s master, whom it followed from the beginning of his rise. Yu rejects the suggestion that Luo fell because of the Deathly Silence Qi 597 598.
• Lin Yi — A challenger to whom the guardian discloses its identity and answers questions about Luo and the Deathly Silence Qi 597 598.
