Background / History

Genki transmigrated to the shinobi world ten years before the Uchiha clan annihilation. His biological parents had died in war, and he was found in ruins by Hazuki and Izumi, who gave him a home. Hazuki raised him as her son, while Izumi treated him as a younger brother. 1

On the night of the massacre, Genki, Hazuki, and Izumi attempted to flee the Uchiha compound. Facing Itachi, Genki used his knowledge of Indra, Asura, Naruto, and Sasuke’s supposed connection to Indra’s will to force Itachi into negotiating for Hazuki and Izumi’s lives. 1 2

White Zetsu’s ambush ended that attempt. Hazuki and Izumi took the fatal attacks meant for Genki, triggering his Mangekyō Sharingan. His new powers consumed the souls of the slain Uchiha, including their memories, chakra, and Sharingan power; the process left him overwhelmed by grief, pain, and the resentment of thousands. 3 4

Genki’s loss of control escalated into an assault on Konoha. He used his soul-fueled Susanoo against Itachi, Obito, Fugaku, Hiruzen, Jiraiya, and the village’s ninja forces, eventually killing Fugaku, forcing Itachi to kill Sasuke, and devouring Itachi’s soul. 9 13 17 18

His power continued to grow through the absorption of souls, eventually bringing him into conflict with Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki and threatening the entire Shinobi World. Although Genki later appeared in other parallel worlds, his stated objective remained unchanged: collect the soul origins of every version of Hazuki and Izumi across countless universes, reconstruct their souls, and resurrect them. 26 46 66

In another Konoha timeline, Genki interrupted the Uchiha massacre, resurrected murdered clan members, protected the clan from Konoha’s attempted purge, revived Izuna Uchiha, and declared that the Uchiha would rule the Ninja World. 84 89 101 103 With Indra’s assistance, he ultimately oversaw the destruction of the five great nations’ forces and proclaimed the surviving Uchiha as the Ninja World’s sole rulers. 136

Appearance

Following his later metamorphosis, Genki has waist-length black hair, cold and clear eyes, and an imposing, detached presence. He wears a dark crimson robe with subtle Uchiha crests; in another appearance, he wears a black Japanese-style robe patterned with blood-red flames and golden designs. 31 96

Personality

Before his awakening, Genki was frightened but resolute. He was willing to confront Itachi despite knowing he was outmatched, because Hazuki and Izumi were the only family and warmth he had known in the shinobi world. 1

Hazuki and Izumi’s deaths shattered that restraint. The pain of absorbing countless souls, combined with the realization that he had consumed the souls of the people he wished to revive, reduced him to hatred and destructive obsession. He came to view himself as no longer fully human, caring only about revenge and the restoration of his mother and sister. 4 15 66

Genki is cold, calculating, and remorseless toward those he considers enemies or obstacles. He treats lives and souls as resources for his goal, yet retains a selective attachment to the Uchiha Clan and to parallel-world versions of Hazuki and Izumi. Seeing another Izumi briefly brings out affection that he immediately suppresses. 96 100 101
