Background / History

Tsunade returns to Konoha from the battlefield during the conflict with Kirigakure. After reporting that the enemy’s front had collapsed under Jiraiya’s watch, she immediately heads home to check on her younger brother, Nawaki. 19

At the training ground, she disciplines Nawaki after learning he had been speaking badly of her. She easily overwhelms him in a spar, then counters his fake explosive-tag trap with the Hundred Healings Jutsu. 19 20

Tsunade later spars repeatedly with Namikaze Yoru. His use of the Eight Inner Gates and rapidly improving swordsmanship force her to become serious; after injuring him during one match, she personally heals his fractured ribs with Medical Ninjutsu.
