Kelvin accepted the order and led the two of them out of the resplendent palace, heading for the guest rooms on another level.

"Letho, are you planning to dump me again and play hands-off manager?" Roy tried to persuade the Witcher. "Don't you think fighting that kind of monster would be invaluable experience? "Hunting that thing means going deep into the heart of the forest. And the forest is its home. The plants and animals are practically its eyes and ears. The moment we step inside, nowhere will be hidden from it. Hiding is unrealistic."

"So stop dreaming," the Witcher deliberately raised his voice. "Stay in Carbon Mountain and behave yourself. Treat it like a sightseeing trip. It wouldn't be bad to look around the area. Not everyone gets the chance to visit this fortress of wonders."

"You've been training hard with your crossbow, and the dwarf marksmen of Carbon Mountain are experts in that field. Go ask them for pointers if you get the chance. If you're really bored, pull out the notes I left you and read them."
