The atmosphere immediately became tense upon hearing this.
Although Nami, Nojiko, Koala, and Perona, who were protecting Robin, were afraid of the Giant race ' enormous bodies, they still stepped forward without hesitation to stand shoulder to shoulder with Robin.
Perona floated in front of them, pointed at the giant warrior, and said arrogantly, "Do you know who I am? I am the Ghost Princess Perona, the Lord Marshal's darling. If you dare to misbehave, the Lord Marshal will show you what it means to protect your own!"
Just then, the ground suddenly trembled, followed by a hearty laugh coming from another massive building across the street.
"Hehehehe!"
Before the others could react, an equally enormous figure emerged from the massive building.
The newcomer was a giant over twenty meters tall, with messy hair and a kind smile on his face.
The giant warrior standing in front of Robin and the others quickly turned around upon seeing the newcomer and respectfully greeted, "Mr. Sauron!"
Sauron?
Upon hearing the giant warriors address the newcomer, Robin froze for a moment, then quickly turned around.
The familiar laughter, the familiar long orange hair, and the beard that looked like a lion's mane.
More than a decade seemed to flow backward at this moment, sending Robin's thoughts back to the shores of Ohara in the West Blue, where she saw the giant figure who had built an escape route for her with his life.
The figure from my memory gradually overlapped with the giant before me.
The giant before her was none other than Haguval D. Sauron, the one who had saved her in Ohara years ago.
However, Sauron, who appeared before her at this moment, had extensive burns on his face and a wooden prosthetic right leg!
After a brief moment of stunned silence, Robin struggled to control her emotions and called out in a trembling voice, "Sa... Sauron!"
" Robin!" Sauron recognized Robin immediately and laughed heartily, "It really is you! Hehehe!"
Upon hearing that familiar laughter, Robin could no longer hold back, and tears welled up in her eyes.
She rushed forward, but stopped less than a meter from Sauron, tears blurring her vision.
" Sauron... you're still alive..." Robin reached out to touch Sauron, but then feared it was all just a dream!
"Of course you're alive! I promised you!" Sauron crouched down, stretched out his huge hand, and gently wiped away Robin's tears. "Don't cry, Robin. You're all grown up now, but you still cry like a child."
Robin smiled as he wiped away his tears, but the more he wiped, the more tears he shed.
" Sauron..." she choked out, "I... I've been trying so hard to live all these years..."
"I know, I know everything."
Sauron remained as gentle as ever, just as he had been when he saved Robin in Ohara.
Robin sniffed, composed himself, and then, like a child, tilted his head back and smiled through his tears, saying, "Praise me."
Sauron paused for a moment, then smiled warmly. "You did a wonderful job, Robin! You're the strongest and bravest kid I've ever met!"
Upon hearing this, Robin had just managed to control her emotions, lost control again and cried like a child who never grew up.
Sauron didn't comfort Robin, but looked tenderly at the only survivor of Ohara until Robin calmed down a bit, then he spoke gently, "It seems you've found someone who can truly protect you."
"Yes!" Robin nodded firmly, took a deep breath, and looked up at Sauron, her eyes red as she explained, " The Lord Marshal has had the World Government drop the bounty on me. My current identity is a trainee Marine at Marine Headquarters!"
Sauron's eyes flashed with shock, and he exclaimed, "He got the World Government to drop the bounty on you?"
Since returning to Elbaf from Ohara, he had paid little attention to outside affairs. Although he knew that the Marine Headquarters had produced an extraordinary Navy Marshal, he clearly hadn't expected that this Navy Marshal would wield such power that he could persuade the World Government to drop Robin's bounty. It's important to understand that Robin's identity posed a far greater threat to the World Government than the lawless pirates of the Grand Line!
However, this important figure who could threaten the World Government was not only protected by the Navy Marshal, but the World Government also dropped the bounty on his head! Such methods were unheard of to him, a former Vice Admiral who had served in the Marine Headquarters.
If the current Marine Headquarters Marshal had been the one before the Ohara Incident, wouldn't that have been wonderful?
If it were this Navy Marshal, Ohara wouldn't have disappeared, right? Robin wouldn't have had to hide and run away just to survive!
Robin nodded again, "Ever since the Lord Marshal had the World Government withdraw the bounty, the World Government hasn't sent any agents to me. With the Lord Marshal here, the World Government won't dare to do anything to me!"
Seeing Robin's reaction, Sauron showed a relieved expression and said softly, "I don't know much about this Navy Marshal, but that's not important. What's important is that Robin finally has someone who can protect you for life. Now that you've chosen to follow this Navy Marshal, live happily under his protection from now on!"
After a slight pause, Sauron suddenly turned around. "Let's go, Robin. I'll take you somewhere."
Where?
You'll like it.
Sauron led Robin and the others through the gate, and after passing through a long, empty corridor, their vision suddenly darkened.
What appeared before them was a library made up of countless stacked book towers, each tower reaching straight into the sky like an ancient tree. The layers upon layers of bookshelves formed a vast ocean of knowledge, and the ancient historical atmosphere was overwhelming, causing Perona, Nami, Nojiko, and the others to open their eyes wide in surprise.
What surprised them most was a giant Fukurou perched atop the library, its wings spread like a dome, its beak wide open, its eyes fixed intently on them, these uninvited guests.
What attracted Robin was not the giant Fukurou, but the mountain of books in the library, which made her feel as if she had returned to Ohara, to the sea of books of the All-Knowing Tree.
Robin covered her mouth, tears welling up again.
Sauron's voice rang out just in time, "After the Buster Call ended, I brought all the books I could carry here. Although I couldn't save them all, at least the books of Ohara weren't completely destroyed."
After a slight pause, Sauron continued, "We have to thank the Revolutionary Army soldiers for preserving these books. They mobilized a large number of people to find these books that hadn't been burned in the ruins of Ohara, in the sea, and underground!"
Upon hearing this, Robin took a deep breath, then quickly ran to the library, stood before the bookshelves, and stroked the familiar books, tears silently streaming down his face.
