The Red Hair Pirates Surrender as a Group!
The New World, the territory of the Red Hair Pirates, on a nameless island.
Yasopp's declaration that he was willing to risk his future for his son silenced everyone present.
Laki Ru's arms, which were wrapped around his elbows, froze in mid-air, his eyes wide as saucers.
This is insane!
Yasopp must be insane!
Surrender to the Navy? They're officers of the Red Hair Pirates, one of the Yonko, the rulers of the New World. How could they do something so self-destructive?
The remaining cadres were also in an uproar, their angry and confused gazes all turning towards Yasopp.
Ignoring the stares of the crowd, Yasopp stood calmly before Beckman, his face showing no remorse for making a choice that amounted to betrayal, only the relief of having a burden lifted.
"Yasopp, you..." Raki Ru finally swallowed the meat in his mouth, wanting to say something.
"Let him continue."
Ben Beckman raised his hand to stop Lucky Roux.
Yasopp shook his head and smiled, saying, "There's nothing more to say, everyone. We can all see the changes in the world. What Marshal Akira has done has exceeded our understanding of the Navy and the World Government. He's not maintaining the old order; he's creating a new world."
"And what about us? We're still carving out our own territory in the New World for some vague notion of 'pirate freedom.' Yet, Shanks was slain in a single blow, and we didn't even have the strength to resist. What freedom are we talking about then? We're just the old guard, destined to be swept away by the tides of the new era."
"My son Usopp is a Marine. Although he's just an intern now, he's on the right path with a future. As his father, I can't be a stain or a stumbling block on his journey."
Yasopp's words silenced everyone.
Yes, even the captain was sent back to the Red Line from the New World with a single blow, so what can these officers possibly change?
The pride and beliefs that had always sustained them were shattered in the face of Akira's absolute strength.
Not far away, a sniper watching this scene smiled slightly. He hadn't expected that the first to make a choice would be a sniper from the Red Hair Pirates.
However, he was very satisfied with the result.
A father's willingness to sacrifice himself for his son's future is far more effective at undermining team unity than any coercion or inducement.
Just then, Ben Beckman stubbed out his cigarette.
He slowly stood up, dusted himself off, and walked to the side of the Yasopp.
"I see."
Beckman's gaze swept over all the officers, finally landing on Akira, his expression more solemn than ever before. "Fleet Marshal Akira, our Red Hair Pirates are willing to surrender en masse."
Upon hearing this, Raki Ru and the others were still shocked, but they did not voice any further objections.
Even Beckman, the smartest member and the team's brains, made the same choice. What else can they say?
"Oh?" Akira raised an eyebrow. "You've figured it out?"
Beckman nodded, his tone calm. "I know your style. If you hadn't given us a chance, I think we wouldn't be standing here now, but would be beheaded like Kaido and Charlotte Linlin. Since you've given us a choice, we're willing to contribute our last bit of value to the new era."
"If our surrender can help those still-stubborn pirates on the high seas see reality and reduce unnecessary bloodshed and sacrifice, then we are willing to accept any arrangement."
"Very good." Akira nodded approvingly. "This commander accepts your surrender."
"However, surrendering isn't as simple as just walking to the gates of Marine Headquarters and saying it. You are officers of one of the Yonko ' pirate crews, symbols of the old era. Your demise must be grand enough, and the whole world must witness it."
Beckman's pupils contracted almost imperceptibly; he certainly understood what Akira meant.
Akira intends to use the Red Hair Pirates to put on a show that will shock the entire world.
Thinking this, Beckman lowered his head and said decisively, "I will follow the Lord Marshal's arrangements."
"Very good." Akira nodded, then turned around and waved to Luffy and the others not far away, "Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Usopp, you guys come here."
"What's up?" Luffy, with meat still stuffed in his mouth, ran over, mumbling incoherently.
Akira smiled slightly and said, "They have decided to surrender to the Navy. Go and put Seastone Handcuffs on them and escort them back to the training ship."
"Huh?" Luffy blinked, then grinned and said, "Okay, mission accomplished!"
Without wasting words, Ace and Sabo strode toward Beckman, Ragnarok, and the others.
Usopp, on the other hand, froze and stood there motionless.
He looked at his father, who was smiling and reaching out his hands to him not far away, and his nose tingled, tears welling up uncontrollably.
"Why are you crying? You're a man." Yasopp's voice was still hoarse, but it carried a hint of relief and pride. "You're a Marine, I'm a pirate. It's only right for the Marines to catch pirates. Most importantly, my son is now a Marine soldier who can stand on his own!"
Upon hearing this, Usopp fought back his tears and walked step by step to Yasopp.
He pulled out the cold, Seastone Handcuffs from his waist, but he couldn't manage to cuff his father's wrists.
"Useless thing," Yasopp scoffed, then voluntarily slipped his wrist into the handcuffs.
Click.
A soft sound seemed to strike Usopp's heart. He could no longer hold back, and tears streamed down his face, but he bit his lip tightly to keep himself from crying out loud.
"Come on, son," Yasopp looked at him, "Take me onto the ship."
"Yes, Father." Usopp choked out, then straightened his chest, wiped away his tears, and led his father toward the training ship.
After all the Red Hair Pirates' officers were escorted onto the ship and locked in the temporarily modified cabins, Morgan quickly walked onto the deck and came to Akira.
Just as he was about to report the situation, the Den Den Mushi in his pocket suddenly rang.
"Bru bru bru..."
Morgan glanced at the face mimicked by the Den Den Mushi, then straightened his expression and said, "Lord Marshal, it is Commander Shamrock of the Knights of God."
As soon as the Den Den Mushi connected, Shamrock's emotionless voice came through. "Lord Akira, Shanks wishes to speak with you."
Akira took the Den Den Mushi, but before he could speak, a familiar voice, tinged with complex emotions, came through the phone.
"Marshal Akira, where are my crew members?"
It's Shanks.
Akira laughed, his tone as relaxed as if chatting with an old friend. "Your crew? They just made a very wise decision—they all surrendered to the Navy."
After these words were spoken, there was a long silence on the other end of the Den Den Mushi.
After a long silence, Shanks ' voice rang out again, carrying an unprecedented weariness and a hint of relieved liberation. "The changes in the Holy Land have shocked me. Your so-called 'Ten-Year Literacy Plan,' and everything you've done!"
Shanks paused, a hint of resolve in his voice. "Back in Foosha Village, I gambled with one arm on the arrival of a new era, and now it seems that era has indeed arrived!"
"In that case, I'm willing to bet my freedom that you can change the world!"
"Once the training ship returns to headquarters, I will set sail for Marineford with my crew—"
"Confess!"
