Background

Su Changyu was found as an infant drifting in a wooden basin during the Qingzhou Calamity. Grand Hua Daoist adopted and raised him alongside the other orphaned disciples of Qingyun Dao Sect. Grand Hua later revealed that Su Changyu had been concealed from the heavenly secrets and had his cultivation sealed to protect him from Grand Xuan Daoist, who intended to sacrifice him. 213 278

He grew up believing his parents had died in the calamity. His resemblance to Emperor Xia and Princess Changling eventually revealed his identity as the Tenth Prince of Great Xia; Emperor Xia is his biological father. 197 204 268
