Di Xin’s forces defeated Great Zhou, while Dong Wanggong moved the Saints’ decisive battle into the Chaos and Sect Master Tongtian gave his life to cripple his enemies. As the Western Teachings reshaped themselves and the Investiture of the Gods ceremony approached, Shen Gongbao and Di Xin gathered at Mount Tai with Haotian and Yang Jian.

• Di Xin exchanged Ji Fa for Jiang Ziya, and Ji Fa learned of Ji Chang’s death before ascending as King Wu of Zhou while Shen Gongbao imprisoned Jiang Ziya.
• Julusun and Tu Xingsun faced Great Shang, but Yunxiao and the other women stopped them, and Shen Gongbao beheaded Julusun as the two armies joined battle.
• Yang Jian defeated the Heavenly Origin Sect disciples, while Bai Ze converted Jie Sect disciples and Shen Gongbao killed Jiang Ziya before Dong Wanggong sent the Saints to fight outside the Chaos.
• Shen Gongbao and Yang Jian killed Medicine Master Buddha, then Yang Jian ended the fighting on the battlefield as the four Saints began their decisive clash.
• Sect Master Tongtian fought Primordial Heavenly Venerate, Saint Zhunti, and Saint Jieyin, gravely wounded them, and sacrificed himself to destroy Saint Zhunti and enter the Heavenly Dao Origin.
• Daoist Duobao joined the Western Teachings and became Buddha Tathagata, while Zhao Gongming delivered the Taiji Diagram to Dong Wanggong and went to cultivate under Ancestor Minghe.
• Primordial Heavenly Venerate sent Guangchengzi and White Crane Boy to reincarnate, while True Lord Yu Ding abandoned his past and became Bodhi.
• Shen Gongbao prepared the Investiture of the Gods ceremony on Mount Tai, where Haotian arrived and Di Xin came with his Great Shang officials.

After the Investiture of the Gods ended, Dong Wanggong oversaw Di Xin’s rise and confronted Demon Ancestor Luohu’s plans before rescuing Ancestor Dragon and defeating God Punishing Dao Venerable. The story left Dong Wanggong returning to the Primordial World as the Shang Dynasty collapsed, while Guiguzi, Confucius, and Laozi prepared to prove the Dao.

• Old Master Taiqing learned that Buddha Tathagata had deceived him over the Taiji Diagram, and his cultivation fell after the revelation.
• Shen Gongbao invested the righteous gods, and Di Xin received the Human Emperor title as the Investiture of the Gods Tribulation ended.
• Demon Ancestor Luohu helped Eastern Emperor Taiyi absorb the Dark Chaos Demon God’s remains, and Taiyi was reborn before joining the Demon Sect as Luohu’s disciple.
• Dong Wanggong attended Nezha and Ao Bing’s brotherhood ceremony, welcomed Little Dragon Girl as his Dao Companion, and agreed to help Ying Long find Ancestor Dragon.
• Dong Wanggong killed God Punishing Dao Venerable, created new Dao domains, and reached Peak Great Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal of the Origin.
• Dong Wanggong defeated the Ruthless Empress and brought Ancestor Dragon back to the Primordial World, where Ancestor Dragon pledged to follow him.
• Nearly a thousand years passed as the Shang Dynasty fell and the Seven States rose, and Dong Wanggong left Penglai to observe the sages’ discussion.

Guiguzi and Confucius attained the Dao, Ying Zheng unified the Central Plains and became Human Emperor, and Dong Wanggong prepared for the Journey to the West Tribulation. The Spiritual Clarity Stone Monkey was born, recognized Dong Wanggong’s power, and began his life on Flower-Fruit Mountain.

• Guiguzi proclaimed the Dao of Strategy and Vertical and Horizontal Alliances, attained Hunyuan Grand Unity Golden Immortal, and set out to travel the Primordial Wilderness.
• Laozi attempted to attain the Dao at Hangu Pass, but Saint Jieyin and Saint Zhunti killed him while Old Master Taiqing and Primordial Heavenly Venerate became embroiled in the conflict.
• Confucius blended the Great Dao of Strength into Confucian Dao and attained early-stage Hunyuan Grand Unity Golden Immortal, while Kong Xuan sent his disciples to spread Confucianism.
• Zhao Gongming protected Ying Zheng, who took Qin’s throne, conquered the Six States, became the First Emperor of Qin, and crushed the rebellions of Liu Bang and Xiang Yu.
• Dong Wanggong invested Ying Zheng as Human Emperor, and Cangjie proved Dao and became a Saint during the Mount Tai celebration.
• Dong Wanggong welcomed Tongtian into Hongmeng Immortal Palace and began planning for the Journey to the West Tribulation, while Golden Cicada entered reincarnation and the Curtain Rolling General became a monster at Flowing Sand River.

Sun Wukong trained under Patriarch Bodhi, returned to Flower-Fruit Mountain, and was drawn into the Journey to the West Tribulation as the Heavenly Court and Western Teachings maneuvered around him. After reaching the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm and challenging Heaven, he agreed to fetch the scriptures, while Patriarch Bodhi appeared to confront Taishang Laojun.

• Dong Wanggong sent Huanglong Zhenren to become the future pilgrim’s mount and assigned Wutian to teach Golden Cicada in his tenth life.
• After Old Monkey Lord urged him to seek a master, the Spiritual Clarity Stone Monkey reached Square Inch Mountain, where Patriarch Bodhi named him Sun Wukong and began his instruction.
• Sun Wukong mastered the arts of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism, returned to Flower-Fruit Mountain, and received the Ruyi Jingu Bang and treasures from the East Sea Dragon Clan.
• Sun Wukong fought his way through the Netherworld and Heavenly Court, while the Dragon King moved Flower-Fruit Mountain’s intelligent creatures to safety and Ruoshui threatened the mortal world with a flood.
• Haotian appointed Sun Wukong Bi Ma Wen, but Sun Wukong’s external forms plundered the Western Spirit Mountain, Tushita Palace, and Mount Sumeru before he retreated to Buzhou Mountain to forge his own Dao.
• After five hundred years of cultivation, Sun Wukong reached the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm, absorbed the Eight Treasures Merit Pool into the Ruyi Jingu Bang, and challenged the Buddhas and Heavenly Court.
• Haotian revealed that Patriarch Bodhi had joined the Hongmeng Immortal Palace and directed Sun Wukong to carry out the Havoc in Heaven and fight the Western Teachings during the Eighty-One Tribulations.
